Well for me BFG try's but like Mackie he lacks quality. I may not be the best football brain on the planet but i think most who have watched him would probably say the same. The football bloke on the telly even said "he is no Charlie Austin".

On a graph, the line marking the quality of his performances is going upwards. He's 24. Let's see where it flattens out.

I think that is rather unfair to be comparing every striker we have to Charlie.

It may be a long time before we have another striker of that quality

Not unfair just stating what i see. Polter lacks quality. The football pundit was mocking his quality as well. I know he will never be as good as Charlie but he still lacks quality. Please tell me you can see that. Forget about age and that he has just come to England. The bloke is not that good. Although i do like his commitment and hairstyle.

Smithies - Not his best game. Some very poor decision making re punching and rushing out.
Perch - if he can play like that why hasn't he been?
Hall and Angella looked like a really decent centre back pairing for the first time.
Onuoha - if he can play like that at full back why hasn't he been?
Henry - the debate rolls on. Good outing this time round but then Brum had forgotten to read the script about pressing QPR in midfield.
Hoilett - MoM for me. Involved in everything good going forward and tracked back regularly. And who knew he took pens?
Luongo - I know he will be many people's MoM but he doesn't like it physical does he?
Chery - a mystery why JFL hasn't played him more.
Polter - probably The Big F'ing German's best performance for us. I could yet like him.
Matt Phillips - Premier League, you're having a laugh.
Birmingham City - Premier League, you're having a laugh.

I agree re Smithies' punching when he should have been catching, but what I particularly like about him is that he kicks well with either foot - a big plus. I hadn't rated Angella much at all previously, but, as I posted on another thread, he reminded of Glenn Roeder yesterday, and that is a big complement.

Why post this as a separate thread? Couldn't this of gone on the Match Day thread? I shan't bother with all the effort of doing a match day thread in future. Without trying to sound too precious about it.
It will certainly save me a lot of time and bother.

There are often 8, 9, 10 pages of 'real time' comments on the match day thread and it's useful for us poor sods who actually go to the games rather than just chat about them on here while they're in progress to have a place to discuss post match analysis without trying to wade through them all. Is that too much to ask? Or we could just have one thread for all QPR topics to save the mods unnecessary work.

Yeh, one for QPR related and 57 OT's with nothing on.
