I reproduce here a message from our Super Moderator brb.

A large number of boards now have their own no606 twitter accounts. Also I have seen many members own personal accounts tweeting, promoting links etc to not606.

Therefore my suggestion is that if you do happen to mention not606 in tweets can you encourage members to use the not606 hashtag at the end of their character line.

Example: #not606

What this hashtag does is link all not606 discussions under the hashtag regardless of the account people are tweeting from. I've never mentioned it before because the twitter group was too small but appears to have grown quite a bit in size recently, so it would be good if we were able to view all not606 tweets at a glance...https://twitter.com/search?q=#not606&src=hash

Thanks

brb

I use twitter a lot more than I do not606 to talk about and discuss all things Spurs, so should I #twitter at the end of my not606 posts <laugh>

Is that an objection SoS? I am not a Twitter user so don't know the form.

Just being a rebel to be honest Spurf <laugh>

I got sick of talking with other fans about Spurs on twitter since the stupid hash tags of "#AVBelieve", "SpursFamily" and "#SpursFollowSunday" started popping up too often, god they're annoying.

Have always liked Rebels SoS. <ok>

We've only got a few stickies at the moment PML, so it's not interfering with the board much right now.
Hopefully it'll encourage a few more people to join up and get involved, but it's not something that'll provoke much debate, so it'd naturally fall off the board pretty quickly.
It won't be up here for too long, I think.

I actually like Twitter. Decent banter.

It's a far cry Facebook where most write about how depressing their life is or if they're about to have a bacon sandwich.

Tells you a lot about life in general.

Can't stand most people on Facebook (People I know)

Quite like a few people on Twitter (People I mostly don't know)

<laugh>

Facebook is just up to date statuses of toddlers first ice cream/packet of malteasers/McDonald's <doh>

Slightly off topic, but regarding Twitter and Football, you won't find a funnier account than https://twitter.com/usasoccerguy . Absolutely ingenious, I wish RWAERB wrote all his posts like this. #eplgoalshot

I started following him when he had 5000 followers and the account was about 2 days old. He went viral in about the space of a week.
Some of those tweets have had me in hysterics and he now writes match reports for MSN.
Very clever, yet so simple.

Some of my favourite terminology so far:

Box evacuation kick (clearance)
12 yard death strike (penalty)
Hand denial flag (offside)
You'll never walk away (you'll never walk alone)
Minor offense card (yellow card)
Voluntary simulation plunge (diving)
Franchise enhancement window (transfer window)
Tie completion whistle - (full time)

I don't know what's funnier now though.... Him, or the idiots that don't understand that it's a parody account. How can people be such morons?!

He was tweeting about Eurovision the other day saying "go team usa #eurovision" and someone replied saying "USA isn't in the Eurovision you ****ing tit". <doh>

Oh, and I asked rwaeb a few weeks ago. Unfortunately it's not him who made the account! :(

I don't follow him but I do read his posts every now and then. Some of them are hilarious.
