Well done all on Treve today, including you Chelsea. Thanks Boris as I had a bit on her after last year, would have been better off waiting till today by some way LOL. TAGHROODA ran a belter and was definitely not helped by the draw!
Didn't realise Flintshire come 2nd thought it was kingston hill, had £2 on the reverse forecast as well just under £350 , if only Al Kazeem had come 3rd!!! So delighted for Treve, Dettori is such a mug
"Can you believe it, Treve!.....almost as impressive as last year" - couldn't have said it better myself! With all her training problems, what a remarkable training performance. Criquette never lost faith in the horse. I simply couldn't back her after the Vermeille, but might've backed her each way if it was softer going. She'll be retired, won't criticise connections and the right decision was made. If her first foal is fathered by Sea The Stars, surely it'll be the most expensive foal ever!
One horse race and she really is right up with the very best over the last few years... ...Ooop's!...how dare I!...apologies for daring to state that...off to wash my gob out..
Great run by Kingston Hill too. Considering he only ran in the St Leger a few weeks back that's one serious performance.
Wonderful performance by Treve! Congratulations to all who 'kept the faith' with her. Second, third, and fourth, ran fine races too; Avenir Certain, after being given every chance by her jockey, hit the brick wall about a furlong out, and how!
Just rewatched it and completely agree with Toppy re Harp Star. What on earth was he thinking?! Shades of Mike Smith on Zenyatta in the Breeders Cup when she got beat the other year!
Discretionary I'm afraid TC. Don't want to sound like a knob but it's the first rule of Fight Club when you bet on French racing.
Shows what a "racing manager" Harry Herbert is after this great filly's disasterous campaign until now.
Thought you were on Taghrooda Eddie?.. ..the 3-y-o with all the excuses and none of the hype...box set now..
