Apparently Butland has rejected a move to Cheski!
Wants to play regular football!
Fair play I say, do we need another goalkeeper? might be worth a punt? :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Jack Butland has turned down a move to Chelski, after a £3.5m bid from Chelsea was accepted, because he wants to play first team football. Smart kid, and hopefully it makes Birmingham even more desperate for money from Davies, so they'll accept less.

edit: Great minds Pablo!

Swap deal with Jackson maybe? That would fit both with the "something that works for us too" bit of the tweet, and the lack of height mentioned. We really could end this window with any 4 from about 7 strikers right now!

Also, I can't see him going anywhere but to us, I can't find a single other club linked, unless Stoke want him to replace Crouch if they sell him to QPR.

This is disappointing.

Apparently Sporting want €14m for RWW, which is apparently beyond us, whilst Celtic want €10m for Hooper, but we won't go beyond €7m.

if the hooper 3rd bid is true, why are we persisting in bids that are virtually the same (5, 5.5m, 6m) when we think they value him at around 8m? surely we need to something like 7m.

10M Euro is about £8.5M whilst 7M Euro is £6M (just over in fact).
But they are using Talksport as a source, and we all know what they are like.

I would say a bid between £7.5 and £8 M would maybe do it for Hooper.

Leeds fans on twitter are hilarious. Apparently Becchio joining us is a move sideways, if not backwards. Yeah, because Leeds will be offering Prem football precisely when?

Bit unfair to claim going up by half a million each time is not much. Its a huge amount of money. Maybe they do value him higher but if we don't why pay it

in that case surely we need to give up on hooper with time running out?

it's not much compared to the money we will lose out on if relegation occurs, which i fear is more likely if we don't sign a striker.

But why is it only Norwich who go for their better players? Why does no one else bother? Can't fathom that out.

After all the rumoured links, I would be a bit underwhelmed with Becchio TBH. Every cloud though, at least Morison would be going the other way <whistle>

I'll be pleased with any of the names mentioned seriously In the last couple of days - more so if it were the wolf, hooper or DG...but becchio and kamara plus others elsewhere would be alright for me. Got a really good feeling about kamara.

One I thought might be talked about more seriously - not necessarily to us - has nobody been in for Charlie Austin?
