Well that's one of our alledged targets that won't be coming here: http://www.carrowroad.net/cnews/index.php?post=o-danny-boy-goodbye
According to wiki :On 3 June 2011 he moved to Sporting CP, signing a 5 year contract on a €5.4 million deal. Which i i guessing means divide that by 5 then by 52 = roughly 20769 Euros a week which is roughly £17'500 a week. which is obiously what he earns a week....roughly.....we could afford that?
from what you hear, that would be within our wage structure - although he would be well within his rights to be the top paid player at the club. Wouldn't be surprised if we gave him 25k/wk

I don't want to rain on anyone's parade but: 1. Does anyone seriously think NCFC will spend £11m on one player? 2. If we had £11m spare why did not not put in a bid sufficent to bring Hooper/Graham in rather than faff around offering £5m and then small incredments? 3. When was the last time an £11m player accepted wages which would fit into our structure? I know that that he plays in Portugal where wages are lower but any move at this stage will improve his wage and I don't see us being able to match his demands. I would love this to be true and for me to be wrong or for us to make any marque signing but for the reasons outlined above I just don't see it.
1. Probably not 2. because compared to Van Wolfswinkel, Hooper and Graham might as well be league 1 players 3. its worth a try I want to believe it man let me believe it
According to twitter sources Graham has asked to leave Swansea for personal reasons... prob neans he wants to go back up north
I personally don't see the point in signing 2 strikers who are maybe slightly better than Holt. No way in hell are we going to play 3 up front, and I'd guess rarely 2, so having Holt, Hooper and Graham/Austin seems a waste. I'd rather we signed Wolfswinkel for say £11m, Kamara for £1m, and ship Jackson out. That gives us a super amazing striker (technical term) to play with/ instead of Holt, Holt and Moro as back up, and then Kamara to offer both the pacy option up front, but also competition for Pilks on the left. For a similar amount of money, I think it's a better deal. The wages probably wouldn't be too dissimilar either, as whilst Wolfie might be our top earner, Kamara is on naff-all (for a footballer), so will probably be much cheaper. Hooper and Graham might want £20k a week each, whilst we could pay Wolfie £25-30k (whatever is a little above our current top earners), and Kamara would probably take under £10k That's of course reliant on Wolfswinkel being interested!
