As much as i wouldnt mind graham, he's not exactly the type of striker to make us go mad about is he! Were down in the duldrems at the moment and we need a serious boost
This seems to suggest that we have increased our bid http://www.wijhoudenvanvoetbal.nl/nieuws/norwich-verhoogt-officieel-bod-op-van-wolfswinkel/ The Transfer Rumours surrounding Ricky van Wolfswinkel take more and more serious form. Norwich City knocks firmly on the door for the Dutch striker of Sporting Lisbon. The club was first offered ten million euros, but that offer is now increased. Several British media report that manager Chris Hughton charmed by Ricky and that he would do anything to have him to England to retrieve. The Canaries were now twelve million euros for the scorer, who in Norwich would come in handy. The number thirteen from the Premier League relegation has few worries, but suffers from a lack of scoring ability. The team conceded this season, 39 goals against, and made himself only 24. The former player of FC Utrecht and Vitesse among others should solve that. Vitesse, in the case of a transfer, training compensation with confidence.
What a goal that is! Marking poor but even so Did you not see chester in the crowd then? Holty, love that literal translation. We could do with however did that on the match thread, flemish style

Yeah seen that maybe 12 million as being reported just too much for the wolf man so back to Hooper. I guess its a waiting game until Thursday but I'm sure we will get some one in.
ah bisto boy, the enigma lives in with spelling improvements. sounds like things are hotting up, lots of potential bids going in. rvw isn't going to come off is it
I've watched RVW. He's amazing. I want him. End of. Hooper and Celtic can lick a sack. If we sign him, of course, I'll have to dig out my FIFA career from a couple of years back where he led Norwich to the Champions League
Dundee United just sacked their manager - might be time to chuck a 2-3m bid in for Johnny Russell as cover for Pilks and an extra option up front? For me he would completely remove any need for Jackson.
From what Mastoola has just quoted, that implies RvW has a buy-out clause? If we think he's within our reach, I suppose if they won't settle for less we could 'just' activate that?
I think Hooper would show good intentions from us as a club and would show that we are willing to spend more money to improve on what we have but I am not 100% convinced by him. RVW would be an amazing signing and if we can stretch to him but I think the fee and wages will be too much. I know people worry about the clubs future if we spend too much on a striker and it doesnt work out or we get relegated but i guess thats all about ensuring the contracts are structured correctly. Even having relegation release clauses of say £7-8m for anyone bought for £10-12m means another club would be more likely to take them off our hands. I think its important we try and stay in this league now and begin to progress and it is all about getting the balancing act between spending enough to improve and not jeopardising the future of our club. All in all I cant see RVW coming here but I would love him too. His goal last night shows he is full of confidence and ability. I can picture him coming to us and being sold 1 year on for a nice sum. I am however trying to keep my expectations low!
'Jesualdo Ferreira admits he might lose Ricky van Wolfswinkel before the end of winter and, if so, will ensure that another player replaces him. On the eve of the match with Guimaraes, he wants to reach the fourth consecutive triumph while in charge of the lions. "Some players have a market value. The market is open to everyone. If a player is sold, we will replace him with one of the same quality. Whoever has money to activate the clause will be able to buy Ricky, because that's the way the market works, but, if that happens, Sporting will have a player to replace him. However I hope I won't be in that situation. "he explained.' first time i posted it came up as needing to be moded.
I also keep thinking is that fact we have 'bid' or are 'interested' in someone mean we are actually anywhere near bringing them in? My saturday league team could be interested in signing Ronaldo and put a bid in for him............
