Going back to zellery's post earlier, so we've 6 bids down, Hooper x2, Graham, a foreign freebie, a Birmingham player (Davies?), and another foreign player, where the 2 foreigners are a right back and a midfielder. No 'keeper bid. That's an awful lot of business for 10 days, and whilst it's Hooper or Graham from that, not both, we're still probably talking £12-15m total spend, plus wages. If we make 4-5 signings, we're also going to need to get some players out of the door, or we'll be well over our 25 man squad. Interesting!
Love it that you say we're throwing mad money around paying £8m for Remy but £7.5m for Hooper is sound business?? Lets face it in an age when Rhodes moved sideways and down for that sort of money we can all agree you need a top notch overseas scouting network to sniff out quality at decent prices
COuldn't agree more, I also rather we looked abroad, but think it'll be a struggle in January. Maybe have to wait till the summer.
A Birmingham player. According to the link I posted from Sky Marlon Kings names been mentioned...lazy journalism I hope.

steady on, i didn't mean anything by it, more of a typo. i meant to say whatever resources they have, they have used them wisely, and yes in theory we should be able to tap into something similar. also I'm not get involved in this underlying foreign vs home-grown debate which is raging
Unfair to look at a like for like comparison of just those two players, WBA. Look at the last 18 months overall, though, and what you spent under Warnock, Hughes and now Redknapp compared to our outlay under Lambert and Hughton. Then compare that with relative league positions, this season and last
For me Fox's big strength is not this "killer ball", rather the fact he can actually put his foot on the bloody thing, dictate the pace of play and start off a lot of our attacks by being the fulcrum of passing moves starting in our own half.

may not have been a really great player but most definitely a great club man. wishing you every success in the future KOS.
"Hughton told BBC Radio Norfolk he is still waiting for official responses to bids for Celtic striker Gary Hooper and Swansea forward Danny Graham".
