Nothing apart from that one retweet - from a source I don't actually follow. Apologies if it is a hoax
I wonder wether Hooper wants to come here, we must have spoken with his representation to make sure that he would move if Celtic accept our bids.
I think we've actually got a better deal with Becchio than we would have done if we'd got Graham. If Graham had signed we would probably still have been looking to off-load Morison, and I don't think we'd have got anywhere near the £2.8m we supposedly paid for him. This way we've improved our strike force for a smaller outlay.
To offer terms but I assume the agents are allowed to say if a player is interested or not. It would be in Celtics interest for Hooper's people to tell us he's not interested in moving
I see us getting a big transfer in, whether it be hooper, RVW or just an absolve curveball that hasn't been mentioned. Even if we don't, i reckon we'll stay up.
Then from what you are summarising I guess he is interested, only time will tell. He turned out for Celtic lastnight I'm not sure if its a good sign though? He is under contract with them so he has to be diplomatic I guess as if it all goes wrong and his is stuck at Celtic after expressing a wish to leave then it would cause problems.
Can I just say that if we dont get anyone else I am happy with the business that we have done. Anything more, like Hooper or RVW, and I will be amazed and very happy.
BBC Deadline Day page just - "I understand Norwich have offered £1.5m, plus £500,000 in add-ons and a player, for Birmingham's Curtis Davies. Blues have yet to make a decision on the offer. "The Norwich player used as part of the deal is likely to be Leon Barnett."
With Hooper, why do we always try & do deals on the cheap, just pay what they want & sign the player - if we really want him, then we have to pay the going rate.
Maybe, just maybe we have finalised things with Hooper and so now its about getting him on the best deal for us. Why pay 8m if they would accept 7m?
This ...^ I have to say with all the rumours of us bidding millions for certain players, if we end up with a loan and a swap, I'd be pretty underwhelmed actually.
Apparently, we paid Feeds £200k plus Morison in exchange for Becchio Bit of a gamble as LB has not played at this level, but Moro's heart was never once in it this season. No form, effort or real desire. Adios, Steve.
You could just like the fact that we have obviously done all we can and that we can use the money in the Summer.
