Happy with Becchio coming in, I think he'll get goals and probably suits playing the lone role more than Holt.

Good luck to Morison though, I didn't particularly rate him, but his goals were huge for us last season.

Something interesting on twitter. Apparently the offer to Birmingham wasn't cash + Barnett, Ryan Bennett was the player involved. Either Hughton doesn't rate him, or maybe it's only a loan deal? I wouldn't like to see young players leave, but he could do with the experience.

Twitter also suggesting Davies is currently at Colney for a medical.

I think Bennett would be a loan. I imagine anyway, obviously I am not certain, but I don't think McNally would let our record transfer go out a year later as part of a swap. He hasn't done much wrong to be honest. Wouldn't mind seeing Barnett going in the other direction, good move for him to be fair and at Championship he is actually a good defender. I just think Prem is a step too far for Barney.

Also, despite what everyone says, nothing better than a good transfer deadline day. I honestly love it, I only dislike it when I feel Norwich are doing bad business, which I don't think we will do as long as McNally is here.

Any objections to merging this into the transfer thread? I can understand giving new players a thread when they're confirmed, but we'll quickly fill up the front page if we have a thread per rumour.

    I would guess LB.

I said it a while ago, Paul Lambert players will be shipped out within 18-24 months, I can see a few more departures in the summer for certain with perhaps Holt, Hoolahan, Ruddy and maybe A N Other staying put. The rest of the squad will be Hughton signings

I really don't get this, we've heard it both ways. I've not seen anything official saying we get money, but have seen something saying we're paying Leeds.

It says it on the BBC and Leeds website, surely that's official enough?

Either way, if that's the case, there's no excuse for not getting Hooper in now. COME ON CITY!

Bugger. BBC reporting that the replacement for Wolfie that Sporting had lined up can't sign, because he's already played for 2 clubs this season. Somehow I don't think they'll take Jackson as part exchange...

European football expert Andy Brassell says: "It looks like Sporting might not be able to re-sign Marius Niculae (see 1034) after all. Niculae has already played for two clubs this season, having turned out for Dinamo Bucharest in the Romanian Super Cup before joining Vaslui. The maximum number of clubs FIFA allows a player to be registered with in one July to June period is two. Typical of Sporting's season, I'm afraid - and it could compromise a move for Ricky van Wolfswinkel."

Why? I'm no expert on VWW, but Hooper is more prolific than him (albeit in a worse league), has European experience, and is almost as young. He'd be a great, and much more likely, signing.

Van Wolfswinkel is a better player, will probably be on less wages too. Hooper has done it in SPL, which this year is equivalent to League 1, will be on more wages plus other than being a goalscorer doesn't contribute that much more, when you look at build up play, creativity RVW is a better, accomplished player.

Good luck to Becchio you will appreciate his workrate and goals but will get frustrated by his lack of technique.

hopefully this means we will stop playing hoofball now.

Well sound fairly similar with Morison, his first touch is awful and Warnock was making up that he has pace. I think he'll get you goals though but I don't think your style of play will change that much with Morison in.
