whoops you should still have a good race, just means you will lose a bit of time during your first stint, you still have plenty of laps to recover and pick off everyone on slower tyres
Im doing a 2 stopper on soft 82/87/87. I keep being terribly slow in quali. Tried to "push a lot" in both Q1 and Q2 instead of push nothing or just a little as i have done so far, but i was 4.5 seconds off in first and 7+ seconds of in second.. it surely is my exp and concentration I need to work at. so starting from P20.

Hi Guys, just registered for this and been put in Rookie Group 31. I don't think I'm necessarily going to be able to give this the attention it needs, but I'll try and share any data I have if it's of interest. Any tips/help would be appreciated!
Awesome. Well this game doesn't require THAT much attention, and only a few races left this season. Enough to learn the basics and be ready to rock for next season.
I invited you for our private GPRO group here in the forum where we share more sensitive data and tips&tricks and such. In order to create a group in the game one of us must advance to amateur.
One big tip. Ignore facilities other than Pitstop training center which you should update to level 20 right away. Start of next season everything reset. Commercial to level 20 is great for sponsor negotiations but it is too late this season. Save your money, you will need them for car part upgrades and replacements as you car wear down a little bit each race.
Look for a driver that have above 150 in both concentration and talent. His weight should be below 80 prefferably but you can exercise him to get him down in the long run. You want someone with 0 (or close to 0) agressiveness and also low charisma. Charisma is good for sponsor negotiations but it is to late in the season to start with that now. Experience is also quite important but the driver will get that after each race. More important that he is young.
The drivers OA (overall average) is a combination of all his stats together, If his OA exceeds 85 at the end of the season you will loose him and have to sign a new one and all work on him is lost.

I am working on his weight(currently 81) this season and will focus 100% with his concentration next season.

hey sorry ive been away went to a mates who had no internet but just before i left i did more research on drivers i wanna share with u guys. i think i found a break through in regards to how u should go about with your driver and what type to get.
following my last comment about stamina being involved, it led me to a theory i wanted to test out. my theory was that if i coud find a driver that i wouldnt have to train much, keep his oa down but also have a good driver thatll get u wins. i figured that to have a strong driver ur concentration would be high but thats all i knew so i just kept looking at drivers with high concetration when it jit me. to train ur drivers concentration you use yoga which increases his concentration around 7, lowers his agression by 2, lowers his stamina by 2 but more importantly increases his oa by 1 or 2 depending, so realistictlyif u where to have a driver with say 240-250 concentration and 0 aggression then u wouldnt have to remotely think about his concentration and lowering his stamina by doing this as stamina is important. instead if u find the right driver u will have a good driver with really high concentration, low aggression, good talent 80+ or aggression 80+ and or ull have to do is keep training his stamina which will decrease his motivation hence lowering his oa while improving his stamina and weight. i had another look at the drivers to see if i can find them and boy did i find them! drivers with 240-250 concentration, 0 aggression who had good talent and experience had their average points per race over 4. theire was about 5 or more drivers with their average points per race in the 5's and one had an average of 7!!! i lost him in the bid but as soon as i saw them drivers i thought id hit the jackpot . some drivers even had there experience or talent sacrificed to have good stamina, when i thought about it i thought well thats probably the best way to keep promoting while keeping ur driver due to keeping his motivation down.

ye sorry i meant stamina, and i wanted to pit that many times because i wanted to lower his motivation but didnt work so im gonna go 15 mil negative to back to 85 then not race the rest of the season, i want to keep him and am willing to sacrifice 5 mil for him

Good Idea, im doing the same but im going to race my new driver until round 16 then go 15 mil negative to bring him back to 85. It is worth seeing just what he can do in the next few races.

Dont forget there is a high chance of rain, so you may be doing 3/4 of the race on rain tyres. If that does happen then you want to do as many laps as possible on the fastest dry tyres to take advantage. Also I believe high humidity lowers the fuel consumption as does rain, not sure by how much though.
Yeah but you can't predict when the rain will fall and it always screws up your fuel strategy so I have just set it so my driver does not come in for rain tyres. My driver has high talent and is good on dry tyres in the rain so unless the rain last for a long time it should not hurt me. It also takes ages to pit here so that is more time I will save by not pitting for any rain.
Interesting strategy, im going the opposite way so we should have some good data between us. Ive gone soft (which should take me 30mins into the race) then when it rains it should be the right time to box. I think it will rain for most the race as the probability increases throughout. I have also gone for a wet set-up my driver has 118 talent so should be able to put in quick times. Its a gamble but I have no chance of promotion this season so why not

I'm doing a 3 stopper on extra soft and not pitting for weather change. And because I don't have a clue about the tyre wear is in rain i have fueled a little extra just in case they last longer and hope 3 stops will be enough. 60/70/70/70.
Even if the pit is slow here, I reckon that the weather might switch quite a few times and some people will pit ALOT because of it. So my one extra normal stop should be ok. It will be interesting to see how my driver normally pretty slow driver handles slicks in rain. Having a Talent of 236 might help.
I also changed my setup 50% towards rain and a wing split of 40(lower front). So when it is dry, i will keep up with those who have 100% dry settings cause of my extra softs, and when it rains i should keep up because of my tweaked wet settings.
