    hey man with the levels u dnt really wanna be spending too much money on testing and upgrading parts unless u kno ur in contention to promote, in ur case ur close to 4th place so u could prob do it but slowly, u need money for the end of the seson for that good run but if make it to amatuer then u def need the money just to keep up. dnt get me wrong tho the higher the levels the bfaster the car. maybe thats what keeping u up there. how did ur driver go?

    as for me with my new 249 concentrated driver was really hard to tell how he really went, to begin with he qualified in 18th position, dropped back to like 22nd and finished 7th but my strategy was ok i mean i had 10 litres in the end but alot of ppl pitted like 4-5 times. not to mention the fact that it was hard to overtake and my driver couldnt overtake as my risks wer low, on top of that medium tyres i think would have lasted and prove to be the optimal set, with all this info i need to wrk out how my driver really did. all in all in still pretty happy, most of the frontrunners finished outside points so iv closed the gap to 15 points with all my car part levels sittin at one. im just tryna scimp a lil til i can just keep upgrading my car with like 4 races to go for the final run and hopefully for Amatuer. How did everyone else do?

    Nice ben, you are on the right path, 22nd to 7th is great. Keep your current strat collect points in every race and you will surely advance.

    As for me, I screwed up my qualify and went on extra soft. And even on soft I only qualified p19 but this is because my car levels are 13-13-13 (I'm waiting to wear my current down before I upgrade to level 2 to save money. My driver have 0 stamina and that clearly reflected the drop in laptimes towards the end. Not very much but enough. As I had to race on supersoft and have ZERO data I could only guess what the tyre wear would be. I thought I would last 9 laps Per set meaning 7 stints. I put in a little extra fuel to be on the safe side. Well my car pitted every 10 laps but with ~25% tyre wear left every time so bad guestimate there. Turns out I could had pitted every 12 laps and possibly one 13 lap stint meaning only 4 stops instead of 6. So well i started 19 and ended 19 with only one car behind me and 3 laps down. BUT I had the 7th fastest lap time so had Just had my tyre choice and race strat worked out i could have done pretty good. I only did one minor mistake towards the end (slight spin) so I think my concentration is good enough on its current 69. My lap times were about 2-3 second slower at the end than at the start.That's probably a combination of my 0 stamina and worn car parts. Though, I still had decent pace compared to the others. It was my 6 stops, including one stop at lap 60/61 :p that messed it all up the most.

    I'm happy I think my driver choice will pay off after a while. I'm only paying 350k/race for him. That will make me be able to catch up a little on the car specs and possibly train some stamina. :D

    i think stamina def had something to do with it as it was very hot but what screwed u was def ur strategy, by the sounds of it with the 7th fastest lap wouldv meant that ur average speed would have been so much better if u didnt have to pit so much, i say that ur driver isnt vbad but dnt wanna say anything until u get proper evidence with perfect strategy. did ur drivers motivation go down? if so itd be a perfect time to devotimate him even more with fitness training and get ahead of his oa. ud be raising his stamina and lowering his weight also. ill tell u what if u manage his oa well while training his concentration and fitness ull have a pretty awesome driver bt this takes time so id just make sure i have control of his oa. i have good data for the upcoming race butwill be raining and dry so will be tricky will have to work out.

    wow he went up quite a bit considering the fact u didnt do so well. u eith er keep his oa down or go for concentration but increase his oa and decrease his stamina.

    I took a fitness class:
    O.A: -1=68
    STA +2=6
    MOT -8=2
    WGHT -1=85

    I have plenty margin to play with. I want to end this season at OA 84 and skyrocket it next season.

    And if you have any data on how your driver changed during the race please tell. I need it to be able to calculate the OA formula. The More data I can see the easier the algebra will be.

    i just watched ur race and to be honest mate i think ur driver is pretty average. hes a mid packer runner and might scramble a few points here and there but with ur extra tyres and low fuel u should have been flying past them. with wrk to ur driver he will improve race by race but ud have to make sure u give him the right training at the right time. main thing i think ur driver needs to work on is his qualifying and fitness. good q1 and q2 that could have maybe put him around tenth would have seen a much better result with good strategy as he is able to keep himself up there but u have a tough one. to me it only proves that a highly talented driver is good for the long long run and will be great once he is better trained with good attributes but u have to weigh up between keep goin for the long run (sacrifice points) and having a driver that will consistantly get points while still being able to improve him race to race and if u do promote ull need a better driver with better attributes.

    Are you sure its not just my car having all parts at level 1 and levels 13-13-13
    I think it can't be such a big diff if i had 50 more stamina or not.. not a HUGE difference anyway. i was about 3 seconds of the leader in average, but he have 6 races and its engineering points and race winnings more than me.

    I am not saying my driver is the bomb.. Im just saying im happy with his level. I thought he would be sooo much more worse. I will have to wait another few races b4 i know. BUt what i like is that with 236 talent, if i manage his OA the best i can he have the potential to go to the very top. I like the thought of that, having the same driver since day one until he retires. He is also brazilian which fits perfect in mt mp4-4 marlboro maclaren with yellow helmet :p

    Anyway, just pout on my spending cap upgrading my car for 20 million :D

    being at level 1 wont make a huge difference. my last driver was average and i kept my levels at 1 and i was able get 7ths and 4ths. in rookie ur driver is pretty much the most important thing. its where ur supposed to learn about ur drivers and how to get the most of it where as amatuer is more about keeping ur car up to date with the leaders to survive. ur stamina would have lacked big time for the race coz it was hot but in other races it wont make too much of a difference unless u have good concentration and experience to go with it, ud be able to keep ur laps consistantly while the talent will give u those fast lap times but if u dnt have stamina ull still be a ble to get fast lap times maybe the fastest laps but without stamina ur times could be all over th shop! and in the end if u miss out on 3rd by 5 seconds those inconsistant laptimes will prove to be ur downfall. although u were 3 seconds of the leaders average in race term thats quite a bit and that fact u wer light and had more grip i say u coudv finish at least 15th. on the other hand u did alot of pitstops and ur degrated tyres would have really slowed u down. lol u spent 20 mil?? thats gonna hurt u in the long run for a car that might not even help u. u might find urself struggling for money which may mean not being able to train ur driver while his 0a continues to rise and if u promote ull struggle for money and wont be able to keep up with the pace of the other cars.

    Short Version:
    Well I am not planning to advance this year anyway. But i still want to catch up a little bit and to do that I cant start by saving money the first thing I do when starting 7 races later than the rest. But this season is only for testing things and learning everything and collecting some data anyway. As I said I want to end this with OA 84 and be in a perfect spot for next season with the same driver. The money i spent today will help my sponsor negotiations finish faster for one, and i will also get more engineer points etc. I have ran 200 testing laps plus one race and switched half of my parts to level 2. after next race I will need to switch 4 parts that have worn. and after that i should be able to race 2 more races until i need more part changes so it should be fine. I got like 7 million today, that should be more if I finish higher next time.

    I may just experiment with drivers for the rest of the season as I think this may be my down fall.

    Nah mate thats fair enough, get the most out of this season ready for next season. i had that planned aswell until a couple of races ago when i started building my driverto be a consistant and fast driver. ever since then iv been closing the gap so i def think im within a chance in my first season. my group is really tight, the finish order is always different but its really good fun. at least if i dnt promote this season ill be ready for next season.

    do u think it was ur driver or ur race setup? i feel for u u had ur season on track. theres still a long way but i think if u are gonna experiment then maybe buy different drivers with different attributes to see how they work. i was hoping ud promote so we can start a team.

    Sounds similar to the race I had, qualified 23rd finished 9th through good 2 stop strategy, just makes me wonder what would've happened given a top 10 start. I am going to try and improve qualifying with a new driver/more testing next, its a tricky one to call weather poor qualifying is down to the car or driver.
