Congrats to Caesar and Nick. Gutted we've slipped behind 606 though, hopefully we'll claw it back in Monaco.
I'd wouldn't have a problem with ja606 being given the BBC points. Beating the other forums would be so unsatisfying.
No one from ja606 has joined yet. I'm sure you can get some satisfaction from beating cliptheapex and muzz606.
They have hardly anyone playing though. I enjoyed taking on the might of the establishment. Have you advertised the competition on ja606? The mods would probably pull the article, they've already banned me.
I think I have been banned from ja606 as well, I can't login and my profile says it is under moderation restrictions.
Yeah that means banned - same thing happened to LewisWDC and a couple of others. Strangely , I haven't been banned yet (not that I have anything wrong, but just my existence on the site will have people moaning)
ja606 was getting loads of promotion on 606 but when you have a look theres no one on ja606, so who's promoting it? Another warning that this week the deadline is... Deadline = WEDNESDAY at 10pm This is because Monaco has a Thursday practice.
No mods at the moment, just the admins deleting/banning at the moment. That forum will never take off, because it started a few months too late. As for the predictions, do people think it will be Ferrari or McLaren with the second fastest car? Do you expect any surprises in the race? e.g. Effect of rain, strategy, etc.
I think the Renaults might do well because they have mighty traction so could be very quick. I think Ferrari (meaning Alonso) could have the edge on the Mclarens because they seem to be better in low speed corners and the Mclaren was very bad at Monaco last year. However in Monaco drivers can make a bigger difference and Alonso, Button, Hamilton and Webber are all good here and have won before while Vettel does not have the best record and has not won here before. So basically who knows.
I've made a low risk prediction now and I'll watch the weather and maybe change things a fair bit wednesday afternoon. Good point about the Renault traction btw!
I think this is the most open race of the season so far, predicting a winner is going to be very difficult! I'm still waiting for the weather forecast.
Yes, it seems much harder to call the winner than it has been at any point so far. 1st place has been the one possition i've always guessed correctly, but it dawned on me that i have absolutly no idea for this week. Tempted to give it to Webber. Feels like a risk though.
Renault probably have the best traction, but are their drivers good enough to extract the performance from the car? Kubica's lap was beastly - I dont think Petrov or Heidfeld are that good. Dont know about Mercedes traction but that could be an interesting battle for 4th fastest team. Ferrari have the advantage of mechanical grip, but McLaren have more downforce. Not sure if Alonso could have gotten pole last year, but in the race, once he was in clear air he was 2nd fastest on the track, only slower than Mark Webber. Will be interesting to see who eins between McLaren and Ferrari, but being an Alonso fan, I trust him to be the man right up there with the Bulls.
I've got for a Red Bull, McLaren, Ferrari 1,2,3 (maybe not in that order) as I believe their 'prestige' drivers will get the most out of their cars. I know Vettel has not won before but there's nothing keeping him off the podium in my eyes. Has the makings of a Monaco race worth paying attention to
Yep, and haven't been banned so far. No one except you guys replied to the thread. Numbers are picking up for other sites though: cliptheapex seem to be gaining a few from 606; one of the mods from muzz606 has finally shown some interest which should increase the numbers from there; str8y who used to run this competition on 606 is trying to increase the number of participants from vivaf1.
Pob, go to the sweepstakes your number 16. I want to know who I have! I wasnt even this excited just before Abu Dhabi last year!
