Boil over there and a bubble burst I'm afraid.

Looked like a reasonably run race so doesn't seem to be any excuses.

The winner was backed and has a lovely pedigree.

Two cracking fillies who pulled clear.

How the f**k did Taghrooda get beaten? No wonder why she never ran yesterday against Australia.....

Thats the difference between a good jockey and a world class jockey. Moore wouldnt have got beat on the Hamdan filly there.

    Can't agree Eddie.

PH was perfectly positioned and was simply beaten by a better filly who was actually going away at the line.

Slight overconfidence from Hanagan on board Taghrooda? Coasted up and i think Hanagan thought the race was over. Two very good horses though. How short is Sea The Moon for the arc now?

Maybe the King George had taken a bit out of her as well, as it seemed to Telescope and Mukhadram. Winning that might have cost them any chance of winning the Arc.

Hanagan was stop start on her through the race, thought he had it in the bag, was an inefficient ride.

    Moore won the race.

That's 2 outstanding rides today by Smullen and Moore we've seen. Different class. That defeat for Taghrooda does make the comparisons with Australia look pretty far fetched now. She's a very, very good mare but it doesn't look like she's a superstar we thought, after all Aussie beat the King George victims easier yesterday and he was just on a racecourse gallop apparently <laugh>

Id still say her King George win was stronger than Australia Juddmonte yesterday, no fault of Australia obviously.

Obrien is a master at the pre race talk, get beat and "he was only just ready to start back", win and "he was only just ready to start back" Australia was tuned up for that yesterday.

Mukhadram never ran his race and Telescope is Group 2 at 10f, The Grey Gatsby for me is only a good Group 2 horse, won the weakest French Derby ive seen with a brialliant ride round the inside from Moore.

If Moore was on Taghrooda there she would have won a half length and it would be "what a filly, she battles as well". Fine line, and Moore was the line today.

For what its worth, I think Australia is the better horse, a champion colt normally beats a champion filly, but I wouldnt take much away from Taghrooda after that, has changed nothing in my mind.

    Heis:

Just picked up on your "stadium" question of yesterday

Reebok - a Bolton company originally - didn't pick up the option to renew when the contract was up at the end of last season. Shame really, as they were our kit sponsors long before the new stadium was built and it was deemed a natural "fit" given Reebok's antecedants. I now have half a dozen replica shirts that I'll be donating to Oxfam sometime soon - look out for them on an "aid for Africa" documentary of the future <laugh>

Macron (now The Macron Stadium) is an Italian sportswear manufacturer who have come in on a naming rights and kit supply deal.

As for up the Boro ...... up the Ars!!

Tapestry has been campaigned too short and they messed her up earlier in the season by rushing her when she wasn't quite right. She ran a remarkable race LTO in Irish Oaks, sweating and buzzing for a good twenty minutes before the start and yet she was an unlucky neck 2nd to the Ribblesdale winner! She is the real deal and it is a shame they didnt meet in the Oaks.

King George form might not be upto much- the warning signs were there yesterday when Mukhadram and Telescope were brushed aside. However Taghrooda is still class and pulled miles clear from the rest- got done on a flat track and for a turn of foot today. A rematch in a stroonger run race would be great to watch!

Gosden said his filly was beaten for stamina. If that's the case a strongly run 12f would be to Tapestry's advantage. I fully expected Taghrooda to win easily but I did fancy Tapestry to win the Epsom Oaks so sort of pleased. Can't recall why she didn't run.
