No missiles from me Wooly, all about opinions. No pocket talk from me either because I didn't back TNO (other than possibly in a little daily multiple, can't remember) last March but I thought he was dreadfully unlucky. He was upsides Jezki approaching the 3rd and was 6 lengths behind at the other side having had his momentum totally halted. You can't win a championship race after such an incident and I thought he did amazing too finish as close as he did. I think Vautour is Mullin's best hurdler and would be headed for the Champion Hurdle if he was owned by anybody other than the fat cat banker. Faugheen is clearly very smart but forgiving the cricketing references I'd liken him to Graeme Hick. Vautour on the other hand is Sachin Tendulkar. TNO will be to Faugheen what Curtly Ambrose was to our great white hope (well Zimbabwe's really) off the 90s.
Problem 1 – you would have to be able to turn all the fences around (hurdles would not be too difficult). Problem 2 – as most courses are circuits, the obstacles on the other side of the course would then have to be omitted because the sun would be in the jockeys’/horses’ eyes there instead. Nice try though...
