Here's wishing a happy and long retirement for Grands Crus. Sounds like he's going down the "Kauto Star" route.
Personally I have been the last 4 years and have thoroughly enjoyed the days. I see why it gets slated, it is only above the average Saturday card saying that we did hve the 2000 Guineas, Gold cup , a couple of G1 win sprinters, Irish Oaks winner and last year derby winner to name a few not to mention Austrlia was aimed at the meeting and not the arc So it does have quality and it is still early days in the meetings lifetime and I think it will pick up to be a great meeting Qipco have pumped huge amounts of money in to the sport they market the day tremendously and the prize money is great so it will change, the weather well thats one thing you can't change but with our weather it's a lottery look at the ascot Estimate won her Queens vase that was on soft at that was peak in the summer you can't tell and the weather is always going to rule horses out look at some of the NH horses get taken out when the ground is too fast but overall I like it it just has some picking up to do which it will over time
