I got the impression all the way through the race that Ivawood really hated that ground. Time will tell obviously but i'd be willing to give Ivawood another chance on better ground
Well ive got no idea whats going to happen in the next. Surely due a favourite so Forte 33/1 all the way.
Ron was wrong, the 2 goodthings were BOTH sunk. Probably about O'Brien's Grade One number 213,257 Good day for 'the lads' so far!
Highland Retreat receiving a stone from market principles on chase debut here. Apparantly she was a good p2p so hopefully she shows up a nice chaser.
I dont think form really matters much in the Flat Boris I'd be careful laughing at odds on shots getting beat, didn't u get some 8/13 shot beat round a dog track the other night Not to mention your 'Oaks horse' at Wolvers beat too! What comes round goes around fella! If you're not having a pop at me then please accept my heartfelt apols
I really think they must take a look at the calendar as Champions day in the middle of October is not going to work. I really do feel that were it during the first or second week in September it would be more fitting with ground at least being more likely to be better, and horses not asked to be kept going for a further month after a hard season. The horses today are only 2 year olds and it's a big ask to be at your best for Ascot in June and still going strong in October.
It is an embarassment to British racing that they hold a day to recognise Champions a week AFTER the jumps season officially starts (Chepstow last Sat?) They have to have a look at building around the King George meeting. If they are not willing to do that, I think we have to amalgamate the Irish and British versions into one and host it bi-annually every September. Ideally though Champions Day needs to be July/August.
4:35 New - Al Thakira 6:20 Wol - Indastar 9:20 Wol - Diamonds a Dancing Also persuaded with Nass Charingworth Hope everyone is good
http://www.attheraces.com/article.a...ign&utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter Un De Sceaux to go chasing- confirmed. Champagne Fever to kick off in John Durkan, King George 'in the back of their minds' as the next step. Sir Des Champs not guaranteed to be seen at all this season- will do their best to get him to Gold Cup but will not be seen until the second half of the season. 'if at all'.
