Impressive by the winner, a horse I think is going to make the top grade. Looks a proper chaser in physique too.
Yes, he looks the goods, Nass, probably would have won just as easily with those jumps in....................
with his jump down the back, he might have won by further had he had the fences to jump. One to look forward to!
That is what happens when you don't test stamina. Very surprised that the front two for most of the way didn't try and make it a proper test.
Unfortunately Champagne wasn't to the double but Hobbs horse certainly looks a likely RSA type to me. The lack of fencing probably worked against him as he was very good at them. Champagne Present drifted badly and got an 'unusual' ride shall we say
Silly to oppose Balthazar, but it's no price, so last little punt will be on Sire Collonges in the cross-country..............
Don't know how anyone can't like those cross country races after watching that! The 13 year old Uncle Junior certainly give the King plenty to think about! Great race.
What a tough tough nut is Balthazar King! Sire Collonges ran his heart out so no complaints there. No winners, but really enjoyed the 4-races on Channel 4 this afternoon.
Balthazar is a lovely horse isn't he. Gutsy. Battler. Terrific. Really enjoyed watching him run this afternoon. My bet tonight is an each way poke on Wither Hills at 10/1 in the 8.45 at Dundalk.
BLAKLION maybe not as good as a few of us hoped but he had to do all the donkey work today. Not giving up on him just yet but have to admit to being disappointed. Surely BALTHAZAR KING will be on everybodys banker list come March!
I'm not losing faith in Blaklion yet Stick, set up the race for the winner. Regarding BK, Hobbs has been quoted as saying he will skip the Festival and head straight for the National.
