Stick - your Johnie Skull is as honest a horse as Ive seen! However the last time when it finished 2nd I thought Fallon on the Godolphin horse rode a bizarre race in the middle of the track whereas Skull had the rail. I must say having watched tonights race the winner had a kinda middle of the track run so perhaps the "honesty" of the godolphin horse last time out is where I should be questioning! Waiting on your 820 Mountain Kingdom thats backed into EVENS!!!
Disgusting ride on Dragon Fei there, my biggest bet of the day at 6s, was stinkin on betfair before the off and looked a non trier from the start, nearly won despite jockeys attempts.
The young lad who rode the third in the previous race was still taking a pull close home..it drifted as well. Surprised nobody picked up on that...especially the local stewards but the excuse that the jock is inexperienced would have been accepted despite the fact he rode the winner of a â¬50,000 race at Galway last week. One to keep an eye on...I'm quite sure he wasn't supposed to finish as close as he did.
Boris/Dex, that's an awful track to be gambling at. Tighter than Chester! DRAGON FEI should never have got beat but the lad simply didn't want to come four wide into the straight! I don't think your one was that bad Dex although the lad looked pretty weak at the death the winner was long gone!
WTF is going on with the constant ****ing about of the fixture list for the sake of ****ing about and nothing else? The Cornwallis is now scheduled for Newmarket the day before "Champions Day" at Ascot. Having the Middle Park and Dewhurst on the same day/same card is absolute farce...someone was actually paid to create that thought and worse still,it is still being followed. I liked the Champion Stakes at N'market and much preferred the framing and casting of the Autumn calendar as it was. Anyone else any thoughts?
Change isn't always for the better Dex. Paul Bittar has obviously realised he was biting off more than he could chew so is getting out as quick as he can. Godawfulgate will be what his tenure will be remembered for rather than any improvement or innovation that the sport really yearns for!
It can be Stick and like Tramore course form and an aptitude for front running is important under both codes. I didn't back the one in question but will be interested to see where it turns up next time although she might actually pick up a pound for that effort! Haven't had a punt for quite a while actually..been too busy/away a good bit to give the action full attention and have a serious amount of racing taped ready to be viewed, along with a couple of excellent On the Buses feature length episodes from ITV3 on Saturday! Was going to unload at big prices on Benemeade at the weekend but the ground went and he was pulled...he remains on a lovely mark.
Agree. He lost all credibility when he shared a stage with Simon Crisford after the Godolphin mass doping episode annoucing that they both had the same end objectives...the organisation charged with getting to the truth in a joint venture with the accused?..ridiculous. The subsequent and lightening quick disposal of Al Zarooni, before the second batch of tests were even carried out,was mind boggling. Even worse was the abdication of responsibility when an official Dubai aircraft was intercepted full of performance enhancing drugs..it wasn't their problem apparently and the remit of the DOA,even though everyone knew where the haul was destined for. It isn't an easy job but he has made it very difficult.
