Do you mean you might be doing a few of those player images and on each one putting like: LEGEND PLAYERS SURNAME They should all have a theme like that, make them like a range of banners if you know what I mean.
I think that's the plan. It reminds me of the cards you used to get in *** packets. It's certainly got growth potential for anyone taking it up.
That'd be good. I do think players first names should be included, unless it stretches the text too much. Maybe it's be worth figuring out how many are likely to be made, and for which players, so a themed design can be created to fit each player, rather than the player being made to fit the theme, if you know what I mean.
It's all dependent on donations and mauled's time. Don't forget, we also need volunteers to wave them.
Is that what DMD means? Volunteers to stand at the side of the pitch and wave the flags like we saw at Stoke, Leicester, Arsenal and Man City this season to name a few?
I'll scrap my suggestion of letting school kids stand and wave them then haha. It's a nice touch some of the other PL clubs have implemented.
I thought the mascots or school kids waving them in two lines from the tunnel as the players enter the pitch could be good. Sort of a walk of fame. That's for the club though. Ours is dependent on donations, and the feeling's maybe a bit subdued to say the least right now with the appeal announcement, so it could look a bit silly just having one guy with one flag and no pole stood pitch side.
I can imagine that poor guy being stood there now. Throwing it down with rain, half the fans still outside waiting for turnstiles to sort themselves out and music playing in only half the stadium with the speakers broken throughout. What an impression that will make on the away fans. I think your walk of fame idea is really good. They'll say they have some flag bearers there anyways but I think those kids' (families) pay for that whereas the clubs I mentioned have the school kids and sports clubs in for free for an experience. Leicester for example had five girls teams as flag bearers before the game and a boys team (two age groups) for a half time race. There's always empty seats in the North West corner so there's an easy place to seat them during the game.
I think any initiative that encourages youngsters to the club, and gets them involved and feeling part of it is to be pushed. It's building for the future. They spread the word amongst their friends and need adult's along to supervise and buy food, merchandise etc. It could be a way of spending the supporters initiative money, but I've no idea what the rules are.
That was considered, but the opinion based on previous experience was that the text was best kept to a minimum as it detracted from the image. The team name is pretty much self evident (current issues accepted) , so the surname and legend was felt to be more than enough.
I was going to say no chance of that, then i remembered that the club is now out of the loop. So as long as the flags ( too small to call them banners ) meet the rules and regs. you could have Hull City legend on them. I think 6 x 4 may be too small to have so many words and the picture on them though.
That's correct. Anyone can take a banner in with anything on, providing it's not overtly offensive etc The final layout is the one agreed by posters during discussions on the other thread. It lends itself to a series of banners, so we're only really I item by donations and time. <OK> The more people donate, the more vibrant we can make the kc. I think we're lucky to have a vibrant colour in the amber, and a good list of people we feel worth respecting.
