I think this one will be all about the engines, so expecting McLaren to do poorly. Low speed right angled corners need good traction, with that start-finish 'straight' needing the top end speed. Williams to do well?
GP2 has christened the track with some classic safety issues. Several drivers went down the tight escape road at Turn 15, beginning with Jordan King - who had to dodge a van parked in there as he did so. The vehicle was moved during a subsequent VSC, which was just as well given the number of other drivers who explored the runoff there later in the session.
Another Indy on its way? Or if the tyre cuts carry on, could we see NASCAR/Indy style 'competition cautions' to enable all drivers to change tyres under safety conditions so that no one is disadvantaged or tries to gain a performance advantage at the expense of safety?
