Which is all well and good but we don't know if only a small minority will have a reaction do we? Don't forget it's only a minority that die from the virus in the first place..
And yes, it is the right to choose and until the vaccine becomes proof of not spreading the virus, those that choose not to shouldn't be condemned..

Good argument but the right to take the vaccine, in turn is a matter of choice, if I take the vaccine, cross the road and get killed by a bus that is not the fault of the vaccine, that was life, the vaccine is available, I'm not a luddite, I'll take the vaccine and be greatful for the chance, if others decide not to, that is their decision, I know where I stand, there is no argument as far as I'm concerned.

But don't forget Wiz it only protects you, by you having it doesn't protect the people around you and so they would also need to make the choice!!..
All the measures being enforced will have to carry on until it either the virus fizzles out, or a Vaccine is developed to eradicate it completely..

Quite right to, that dear old lady had her jab this morning at 90, she has hope, I want, along with others to share that same hope and get back to normality, the vaccine is here, it's a fact but we must all remain vigilant, keep our disciplines and stamp out the threat, if you choose not have the jab I say again that is your choice, it's not hard, you either do or you don't.

But surely that is the other person’s responsibility for not having the vaccine? If Wiz chooses to have it he can’t be responsible for people he comes into contact with. They had the same choice as Wiz to have it or not. They choose not to have it so they know the risk that they can catch it.
The same as the ones who choose to ignore the virus and don’t appreciate how severe it can be if it gets them.

Think you may have missed the convo Rod.. Wiz mentioned protecting those around him, I was just saying that they would need to take the vaccine themselves to do that..

I did, I was on about both, all of us are in the mix, the more of us that are protected, the safer we all are, if you choose not to, that is where the greater risk happens, my advice to anyone is if you have a chance, take the opportunity, grab it with both hands, halleluyah.

not entirely true a vaccinated person can transmit it … as your post in red says … food cooked … handled to pack onto tray ! it is passed on by transference, a vaccinated person may not have live virii in his system which he breathes out / coughs out etc ... but still can transfer by contact etc ...…..

    1For.
I think your position is you'll have the vaccine if it means you can go on holiday.
So am I right in saying that deep down you don't believe there to be a risk to the vaccine.

You are guessing without having all the facts, Dr Hilary on Good Morning Britain made a point this morning that you are still able to spread the virus even after the vaccine through touch or otherwise and should therefore continue to wear a face mask when possible......The vaccine is in it's early stages and at the moment it's an unknown..

Below implies that you possibly may still be infected so you could still spread it, that's why they recommend still using a face covering where possible
How effective is the COVID-19 vaccine?
After having both doses of the vaccine most people will be protected against coronavirus.

It takes a few weeks after getting the 2nd dose for it to work.

There is a small chance you might still get coronavirus even if you have the vaccine.

This means it is important to:

    • continue to follow social distancing guidance
    • if you can, wear something that covers your nose and mouth in places where it's hard to stay away from other people

I won't have it at all unless it's required on passports etc. I'm not looking to go away until late May.......So I have time to see if it turns you lot into Zombies or worse if you start making compliments about LJ....then I would know to keep away from it!! <laugh>

your second part answers your first part! I am only stating what I have read [ basically you cant infect directly from virii that a vaccinated person has stopped / killed ] however as your second part implies unlucky should you be one that gets it after vaccinated!

Not written by me but also not mentioned on the mainstream!!

ALL INFO BELOW WAS GATHERED FROM GOVERNMENT WEBSITES THEREFORE CANNOT BE CLASSED AS ‘FAKE’ ‘UNTRUE’ ‘CONSPIRACY’ ETC
    1) The vaccine is not safe for pregnant women or women planning on becoming pregnant within a few months of taking the vaccine.
    2) The vaccine is not safe for those that are Immunosuppressed.
    3) No testing has been done to determine any long-term side effects.
    4) No testing has been done to determine side effects if taken with long term medications.
    5) It is unknown if the vaccine will cause infertility.
    6) Taking the vaccine will not stop you spreading the virus but will only reduce your symptoms (for years the doctors told us to rest, take paracetamol and drink plenty of fluids to achieve the same result).
    7) You can't breastfeed if you have had the vaccine.
please log in to view this image
The vaccine HAS NOT been tested on children and may not be suitable for young persons under the age of 16.
    9) The vaccine is only 95% effective....meaning 5% of people that had the vaccine still had severe covid19 symptoms... the demograph and outcome of those 5% of people are being withheld.
    10) Average age of death of persons in UK over past 10 years - 81years old... Average age of death of persons dying with/from Covid19 in 2020 - 82 years old.
    11) If the mortality rate of 0.3% is unacceptable for covid19 virus... why is 5% now an acceptable rate for vaccine failure?
    12) If the vaccine is safe... why do the government and manufacturers accept no responsibility for death or injury resulting from the vaccine?
    WE ARE THE LAB RATS

Now if I gathered this info off the UK government website....does that still make me a conspiracy theorist, an antivaxxer...
    or a fact checker?

I hope we have vaccine certificates issued so those that abstain from having a jab will be barred from holidays, pubs, restaurants, football stadia etc etc.
