Krul - 6 -Was horrible for the first 75 minutes of the game. Distribution woeful, didn't stop the shots (think he could have done better with the second at least). He salvaged his score with a terrific last 15 minutes where he kept us in it.

    Debuchy - 6 - Ok, did well.

Colo - 7 - He made two mistakes, but other than that his anticipation and ball play was actually pretty fantastic. The errors prevent him from MOTM and a perfect 10.

    Saylor - 6.5 - Another efficient Stevie T performance.

Santon - 4 - Worst defensive and offensive game for us I think. He was doubled up on going forward and defending, and was ripped to shreds.

Perch - 7 - I thought he was very effective and was one of the better players when we weren't getting to grips with them early on.

Cabaye - 4.5 - Not exactly horrific play, but his worst game perhaps based on luck. Every time he went into a one on one situation he lost the ball, every touch in a dangerous area would bobble away from him, and that tackle was rubbish.

Jonas - 6 - Can't cross for toffee, but some good passes in behind for Sissoko to chase, one setting up the assist for our goal.

Gouff - 8 - Best player on the pitch, including Bale. The injury screwed us massively.

Sissoko - 6 - Looked laboured around 70th minute, but still offered a threat. Was fouled all day long, I think Spurs professionally fouled our arses off.

Cisse - 5.5 - Did well at times, other times was shocking.

Marv - N/A - Hardly touched the ball.

Tiote - 7.5 - Thought he was excellent when he came on personally.

    MOTM - Gouffran

Overall - The team played good football, but conceded two soft soft goals. Spurs played well, but we gave them the win. I didn't expect to win or draw, but to hand over the three points when I think we merited a point is gutting. Spurs had the ref on their side today, with some obvious off the ball fouls every time we broke forward, meaning they had time to double team our wingers and Santon. Made for a frustrating game. Bale was good, but only on the break, as per. Pardew should have combated his obvious directness, but alas, we move on.

Was it just me or did he appear to reject Pardew's hand when he came off?

Either way, he possibly stayed on for selfish reasons (to stay ahead of Cheick in the team), and it cost us. I was screaming for Tiote as soon as he was hobbling, but oh well. Doubt he could hear me from Tottenham...

I can't believe Santon doesn't get more stick. He can't defend.

Not many left-footed LBs have gone to White Hart lane and not been torn a new one, never mind the right-footed LBs. Spurs ran a lot more than we did, so they always ended up having 2 on 1s, even in defence. The thing with right footed left-wingers and defenders is that it means it takes more time for them to get crosses in, thus allowing a second player to close down. Clever tactics from AVB, especially the additional use of off the ball fouling to slow down that side even more. The ref was blind to it of course, very clever.

Thought it was strange Pardew put so much emphasis on the full-backs getting forward to be honest, it caused us so many headaches on the counter. But if Stevie or Colo had booted that ball away, then we'd probably be calling him a god right now.

Gouffran has surprised me actually. Wasn't expecting a great deal from him for some reason, but he looks really dangerous.

Same here! He's intelligent, works hard, has nice touches and is quick. Good signing!

i still think we are still unbalanced in the way of subs ,backup ..we seem to have pleny opions in the middle ..to many really . we are short badly on the wings ,as always . ben arfa and gouffran ..only really in my eyes ,

cant say jonas anymore and obertan just isnt good enough.. we need someone direct and fast . a couple..to fight for places /

    also new striker badly ..

we be a hell lot better

Not sure. as you say it was a little selfish, but given how Tiote played when he entered the fray, understandable! Tiote will probably come back in and you'd have to feel for Perch, he has been outstanding for the last three games.
