Well said Dai, if there was a problem with Rangel, then why the hell did we not bring in Jazz Richards or Bessone to the Bench at least! Rodgers is a Rookie all right, no way he'll be going anywhere this summer, got a hell of a lot to learn! Try using your squad properly Rodgers, and Dai stop winding up the QPR boys............. ............
i sometimes predict on their board for a bit of fun dragon and i predicted 4-0 and i had a bit of abuse because of it so when it was 4-0 at half time i just had to go back and say something..
Experimenting before a pair of Premier League games remaining ....against the two most successful top flight teams ever in the greatest club league in the world .... with a possible opportunity of deciding if the top one will win another title .... knowing that if we win them both we will end the season with 50 points in a top ten finish ..... I guess I'd have to say I'm a bit depressed the manager & team aren't doing there job & massive changes need to be made from top to bottom !!
Actually it was 4-2 at half time, I know because I was there and saw it on the scoreboard! Think Rodgers has come in for some harsh criticism on here when we should be celebrating the fact that after yesterday we are mathematically safe. I know you are all passionate Jacks, and I was as disappointed as all of you at the result, but I prefer to remain optimistic and look forward to another season in the EPL. Of course we were naive yesterday - we have a young manager and a young (for the most part) squad who, even though it is nearing the end of the season, are still learning how to compete in the top flight. Disagree with some on here that say that yesterday should have been a 3 point banker; before the game I would have been happy with a draw, after the game it was a good few hours before the disappointment subsided and I could start to think about just what we have achieved this season; our survival and the manner in which we have done it! Last season we were tipped to get relegated from the Championship - and we got promoted - this season we were tipped to be relegated with a record low points tally - but we made it to a second PL season with style. So cut Rodgers and the team some slack; yes – debate the game, but don’t slag them off when they try something that doesn’t work! We can be naïve at times, but can also be magnificent – this has been one of the few times in our history when we haven’t taken a season to the wire; we can enjoy the last two games knowing we are safe and that is something I will be celebrating in style!
cartoon.... rodgers was out of order and probably have cost us a couple of places and not far off £2million quid...there was no reason to do what he did and should have given wolves a bit of respect...
Dai I respect your opinion, but you are not a realist - you are a pessimist - I prefer to be an optimist, different beats and all that but I have quite enjoyed this season and think Rodgers has done quite a good job! Condemn him all you like - but I think he has had a pretty decent season, but I appreciate that you would have done a far better job! I know that you will think I am delusional, and will bow to your superior knowledge of all things SCFC - but will stick with my opinion that this season has been quite good! Have quite enjoyed it and think the money I spent on my season ticket has been very good value! The away games I have gone to have also been very entertaining - win or lose! Am very much a 'glass half full' kind of chap and have enjoyed our first season in the top flight fully! We have undoubtedly made mistakes along the way but am not going to turn on the team that has provided me with so many great days out! So chill out Dai - you are obviously very knowledgeable about all things football - but need to just enjoy the ride a little - it's not all doom and gloom - at certain parts of the season we have been quite good - so just enjoy that! Brenda and the squad have done a few things right and I will continue to look at the positives rather than fret about the negatives - we are still new to this - still learning - and I think we are doing quite well! But then what is my opinion worth - am just a naive and optimistic dreamer!
I think the season has been more than quite good actually. Phenomenal springs to mind. Would love us to finish above Norwich now as one of my mates is a Canary and we're always winding each other up about league positions. A draw at Manure and a win v the Reds. Lovely jubbly!
that would be mind blowing if we could do that knackered but i wont hold my breath.. you can never say never though and strange results happen......here i go trying to convince myself it could happen..
Rangel slipped on his stairs at home , with baby in arms , & injured himself . Sometimes I wonder if a few Swan posters haven't fallen down one flight to many with all the bitching involved ....
There are 3 things all footballers should do: 1) Live in a house with one level only. 2) Never do any gardening. 3) Don't drive a golf buggy.
Got to say, don't understand why there's so much negativity on this thread. Rodgers said he was going to experiment a couple of weeks ago, this was the only game left that it was possible to experiment in, and when you try a new formation some disorganisation is to be expected....especially going to 3 at the back. Think we owe Rodgers and the players enough slack to experiment in one game don't we? That said, I would have liked to have seen Curtis Obeng and Darnell Situ get a start...and maybe Rory Donnelly off the bench.
Rodgers didn't want Fergie to see the regular team in action prior to our game with Man U ( Alex wasn't just at Liberty to see Sig )& he wanted to scramble things up a bit for future reference . Birds with a stone IMO . Pressure off us with two games remaining & Ferguson will have more pressure on him than he's faced in a long while ( depending on the result today of course ) . Anything but a win for the Red Devils today & I'd be putting a bit of money on us to shock themon there own ground ..
