Yes I agree that is the difference between the 3 big spenders, however my original post was just pointing out how hypocritical this article is.

By the way for the record as an Arsenal fan, I too hope the FFP rules are properly implemented as that would put my team second in the financial muscle stakes.

However we all know City & Chelski will be allowed to go on unchecked and we can all expect them to win the title every year from now on, perhaps starting with this year?

Again, they wont be able to go unchecked.

Who has the power, clubs or Uefa.

Which clubs have financial muscle from owners not income? City & Chelsea plus some others who nobody cares about like PSG, MAlaga and the Russian outfit.

Are any of these clubs powerful enough as a club, nothing to do with finances to go against Uefa? I would say only 2 or 3 clubs would have any chance and even then its a small one.

The clubs will force Uefas hand, all eyes are on City now and Chelsea to a lesser extent, will they dare to push the limits and will clubs just sit around and let them. Let me ask you thins, if someone is breaking the rules and benefits from it while you dont, would you sit their quietly and say nothing? Do you really expect clubs to just let a few clubs take over the market as is what will essentially happen if City continue as they are.

United and Arsenal will benefit the right way from the rules and any club who decides to follow our examples will do well. Chelsea have been desperately trying to comply, they should pass the first years test. City wont, goodbye City from CL.

Eventually the PL will enforce its own financial rules, then what for City, they need to find 200million profit a season from somewhere. Where the hell will they get that?

Citys plan is simple, win the league, win the CL, game over! After that they will remain a force but unless they do something about their spending they will not be the force people think. Big few years for them.

Much as I hope you are right, i think that these clubs will just negate the rules with huge sponsorship deals (from companies they effectively own), like City are already doing. Accountants will always find sneaky ways to seemingly comply.

yes other clubs will complain but unless the rules are refined even more and properly enforced it will not work. That's not even getting into potential legal action. Also there is no hint of similar PL FFP rules as yet.

The other concern for me is the huge youth training complex City are building, they are building an infrastructure similar to Barca which at some point will either augment their team via young talent or become a revenue stream via sales. And of course the more successful you are the more the fan base and overall revenue will grow. City are an unjust juggernaut that will be very difficult to stop now.

Clubs have already been told sponsorship deals will be heavily investigated and any link between the club and the sponsor will stop the deal going through. Legal action has very little power, UEFA governs itself and its internal rules are almost untouchable to the outside world. All industries have the right to implement their own rules beyond that of standard law. Clubs may try though.

The first few years will be a battle, their will be casualties on both sides with legal action and suspensions etc...

City can easily be stopped, it took no time at all to stop chelsea and they are doing it way better than City. Money doesnt guarantee success after all.

Your arrogance is despicable, there are people who support these teams like there are supporters of all teams in the English divisions, real supporters who probably realise they are never going to win anything and you just write them off! Notice you did not mention Real Madrid, perhaps you think you are in their gang! You are probably under the illusion that utd are hated because of their success, wrong it's C**T's like you!
 
How exactly has not spending big 'cost us'?! I'm fairly sure this is set to be one of our highest points totals. Also, how is £50 million not spending big? Admitedly this United team haven't been as intersting to watch since we sold Ronaldo, but it's hard to replace a player who has that much attacking flair and we've had to chage the way we play. We also managed to win the PL and reach the CL final with a very average team last season. So all things considered we're not actually doing that badly.

Whats that dollface, couldnt understand due to all the blubbering.

Clubs like your pile of **** are the reason for these rules. Not Man Utd or Arsenal. Clubs like Chelsea, City, Real and co. Real was a mistake and should of been included though they do make the most revenue of any club so could still buy big. Unlike City of course.

And people hate United due to our success, we are not arrogant I just dont give a flying **** about teams who dont concern me just now.

Being a Mancunian I have banter with many of my red friends, if we ran a poll asking, why are utd hated, is it their success or is it that they have, glory hunting little pricks like you, who probably never go and can be found in every bar in the country. I think we all know the answer and most genuine reds would agree with me, as for not being arrogant read back your own posts, now F*** Off

Dunno about hypocritical - to my mind it's just plain wrong. The last time we were the biggest spenders in the league was in the 2002 summer window when we bought Rio. We rarely spend big as in going on a £60 or £70 million plus binge on players. We just spend consistently, bringing through new players to replace the ones we have. It's why we never finish outside the top three.

Also quite ironic the City fans claiming we've only been ahead of them cos of our spending. In the 1990/91 season City finished above us in the league and spent more on players. They proceeded to spend more than us for the next four seasons. Then got relegated in the year we won the double <laugh>

Spent my early years growing up in Moston, would tell you the street but it aludes me now as I have lived all over the place since. Did spend alot of my time playing in a graveyard as it was literally at the back of the house. Horrible it was but probably why nothing at all scares me these days lol.

Anyway, brought up by a City fan ( mums boyfriend, was born in Burnley General ), one I despised for reasons of him being a wife beating ****. He was also a copper. Anyway his family were United fans, I was taken to games and sometimes just to go walk around the ground. Ive never had a season ticket and I havent been in quite a few years. I would love too but have other things in my life at the minute though United have and always will be the one thing to cheer me up.

So I suspect they wouldnt say like me.

You outspent us from 1992 to 2001. From 1992 to 2001 you spend £120 million on players and we spent £80 million. Your net was about £60 million, ours was about £35 million. And we won seven league titles, three FA Cups, and a Champions League. That's value for money right there.

We only overtook you in 02/03 when we bought Rio. And you promptly surged past us the following year on a wave of oil money and **** signings (Mutu chuckle). You appear to have forgotten the money you splashed on Hasselbaink, Sutton, Lampard, Stanic, Le Saux, Gallas, Gronkjaer, Gudjohnsen, Casiraghi et al whilst we were bringing Scholes, Giggs et al through from the youth side. <ok>

These days with Chelsea its not quite the same. You have sort of levelled out but City.

When Spurs got 4th spot just ahead of City what did Man City do? They went and spent £154million on players. This all but killed any chance of Spurs building on what should of been a catalyst for them.

Newcastle may do the same this year. Would you be surprised if Chelsea didnt spend £100million + in the summer if they finished outside the top 4? CL final aside.

Newcastle wouldnt be able to build on it like they would of in the natural order of football, where clubs at the top come and go over time. United wouldnt always of been top regardless of City and Chelsea. Thats how its always been. Not for much longer I fear.
