Newcastle are 10th I think people are losing sight of reality if they think they'll get any higher come may.

Lose at Fulham and they'll have to beat Brentford to avoid being sucked into another relegation battle.

For now it's ok you could take the view newcastle could win at Fulham and Brentford and be top 8, but that's not going to happen based on what we're seeing...

I feel we are currently (if we played the whole season with the players we have) a mid table bottom half team.

    Far enough away from relegation.

But honestly I think top six and then Brighton West Ham and Wolves are above us.

Then we are then in the rest.

I believe and said this at the beginning we are desperate for a CM. That would give us the control and edge.

Look at my next post. I’ve just said exactly the same thing. And I think we are both right.

If Wolves are ahead of us then we're in deep **** come May as I think they'll go down. Brighton will be interesting to see what happens with them now Potter has left.

We've rightfully earned 10 points without VAR robbery.

10 points after 7 games is less than 1/5 of the way through the season.

10 x 5.5 = 55pts which would have gotten you 8th last season, but remember we had to play City, Liverpool and on form brighton away.

What we've seen just hasn't been particularly impressive.. It's all huff and puff with the occasional max dribble and very little substance to it

I don't think there's enough goals in this squad to avoid trouble.

I think they are slightly ahead of us when we lose our best 2 players we are toothless.

So yes I think they can weather a storm better than we can.

You can quote me at the end of the season but I think this squad over a season finishes 10th.

If we where to sign Maddison and say a RW then we can maybe push for 7th.

I don’t currently know what our game plan is other than midfield sideways passing.

The tactic to score goals is not obvious.

I don't think there's sufficient depth in a single area of the pitch and over the season that's going to be a serious problem.

It's already an issue only short of 2 yesterday

Without ASM, it basically looks like we're relying heavily on our defenders from set pieces. Trippier/Targett delivering, Joelinton and Burn on the back post and a mad scramble for the falling ball.,

It's possession football that only works if you've got the players to crack a defense... In the long run it'll see newcastle boring the crap out of us like Southgates England, but it's the way it's done.

And that is an issue because I think later in the season we will struggle even more.

The World Cup this year being mid season may be an issue as possibly Bruno goes and he’s our best player.

I just think outside of Bruno and ASM we don’t have anyone to break decent organised teams down.

We will be ok this season but if we are to see progress we have to he 10th or slightly better.

Leicester having a horrific start helps us mind.

That’s actually a very good comparison. The 4-3-3 only works when you have technically good players.

You can keep possession until the cows come home. But without a plan, movement and players who can thread. It falls apart.

Then Schar stats becoming Shelvey and bang.

Schar was our best attacking player and midfielder yesterday. If the other two braindead defenders stepped up with him Bournemouth were offside..

I think schar is surrounded by idiots personally and he tries to do too much in frustration.

He was forcing the passing when it wasn’t there mate. He tried it a few times.

I like him. But he wasn’t our best player.

He's a ball playing center half... He won more corners for newcastle than the others because his shots were actually struck correctly.

That’s fair enough. He is a good player. He needs better in front of him.

I mean yesterday it's hard to say anyone played well, but he definitely wasn't the worst.
