Back then Facebook, Twitter and Reddit were in their infancy! Before 606 there was the CompuServe forum!
Website is here - https://www.reddit.com/ Effectively it's a website where popular, trending photos / videos / discussion / news stories etc are bumped up to the top of the page and then debated in traditional internet 'style'. There are then called sub-reddits, which are reddit pages around a certain subject, such as Ipswich Town for example - https://www.reddit.com/r/IpswichTownFC/ I've never had an account and barely use it, but a couple of mates are really into Reddit and are adamant it's the best thing since sliced bread.
I haven't seen Tractorbhoy on here for a few years either, he provided some very good contributions to the site. Don't get the canaries over here quite as much either!!
Not many of us left now but if Towns fortunes improve and generates enthusiasm then hopefully more will return, the last 2 seasons have seen us decline in line with ITFC so a resurgent Club might generate more interest here.
Got a feeling irrespective of how we do, my days of attending games quite so much is on the wane. See what next season brings I guess, just a bit fed up of going and maybe rather do other things with a weekend at times now. Sad, I know!
Oh I'm very much Ipswich forever ( sadly ) just perhaps at the minute less fussed re live footy. Looking forward to going to the world cup for England v Belgium, should prove fun. Next season probably have the appetite back.
Doesn't matter how much I moan, get fed up with them, they are just my team. Just think of the poor sods stuck with Walsall etc....
I actually tried this with Sheffield Wednesday when I saw the crappy Magical Vegas sponsorship. They are a club I have always had a soft spot for. Leeds are the closest club but I could never be a Leeds fan. I watched about 30 mins of a Sheffield Wednesday game and realised that unfortunately I will be an Ipswich fan till I die.
I have to work while this is on. Can you believe it? The only thing I can't get out of for the whole of May, June and July and it's on that evening.
