Also should add that perhaps Hootun isn't necessarily looking to sign him to play the lone role up front, it's always good to have options and if he could forge some kind of decent partnership with Holty then he could be a good signing, he certainly seems to know where the goal is.
There was also another player linked to us a couple of weeks ago in l'quipe or whatever its called and that was ibrahima toure of Monaco and he fits the desciption to a tee but there is much bigger interest in him other than us and would cost a quite a lot more aswell especially as Monaco has money bags behind them. ?.
Put it this way, hes wanted by shakater donetsk and spurs and wants to join someone like arsenal I doubt he would end up at Norwich.
Going back to Mulenga, I don't think anybody is suggesting that he should be signed because of the videos. If you made a compilation of Holt's goals, would you show him taking the ball down, laying it off to Wes, who then plays it back to Tettey to put out wide to Garrido, who in turn passes to Pilks, who cuts inside and crosses for Holt to score. The video would show Pilks crossing and Holt scoring. It's a video about Mulenga's goals, not the whole team. He's a striker who scores goals in a very good league (much of the video featured a match with Ajax who we saw at CR in the summer). I would also like to see the rest of his game, as I'm sure would CH, CC and PT. If they want to sign him, then that's good enough for me.
In spite of what CH says, IMO Moro either can't or doesn't want to recapture his form of early last season and should be sold to fund more recruits. I like the idea of Melunga, as Holt could well be injured/suspended this season and we need cover for him. Anyone else think that the whole teams disciplinary record this season is exceptional - none more so than Holt who so far has only picked up one Yellow!!!
Having watched some of the other videos of Mulenga, it would seem that he is also comfortable playing out wide right as well, which suggests that, like Holt, he's not just a burley CF. The more I see, the more I like.
if he comes to us it is because CH has identified his potential and his judgement, so far, has been spot on in player recruitment. so yes please, and at least he has some serious speed.
