I think you'll find that you're referring to radicals, not Muslim leaders. You're unfairly tarring a lot of gentle people with the 'radical' brush. It's like saying that millions of 'regular' Christians endorsed the minority radical Christians who carried out the mass slaughter of hundreds of thousands of people over the years - for simply not being interested in being Christians. I suspect many of them had no idea what was going on, far less endorse it! Naughty boy!
