I don't think Utd can 'afford' anything other than a win. Of course I want to see you lose <ok> but Utd fans are sorely mistaken if they think the pressure is off.

I dunno, once the Liverpool game is out of the way, Utd and Arsenal's run ins look pretty similar in terms of difficulty. My prediction to the end of the season is:

    Utd

    Liverpool (A) - 1
    Bolton (H) - 3
    West Ham (A) - 3
    Fulham (H) - 3
    Newcastle (A) - 1
    Everton (H) - 3
    Arsenal (A) - 0
    Chelsea (H) - 1
    Blackburn (A) - 3
    Blackpool (H) - 3

    Total - 21

    Arsenal

    West Brom (A) - 3
    Blackburn (H) - 3
    Blackpool (A) - 3
    Liverpool (H) - 1*
    Tottenham (A) - 0
    Bolton (A) - 1
    Man Utd (H) - 3
    Stoke (A) - 3
    Villa (H) - 3
    Fulham (A) - 3

    Total - 23

*Out of Liverpool (H), Stoke (A), Blackpool (A) and Fulham (A), I'd expect you to draw at least one of those games. I've just put Liverpool as I think it's the most likely.

And I think that's a fairly generous prediction for Arsenal, given you haven't beaten us since 2007. So, even if we draw today, we would still be likely to win it in the end. So, like I said, the pressure is still on, and it is always massive in the North West derby, but not as much as it would have been if you'd won yesterday.

Can't deny that a win yesterday would have piled the pressure on Utd even more. And without getting into a debate about the ref / lino we SHOULD have taken 3pts. It's going to be a close run in for sure. Wouldn't really like to make any predictions. I think our results will depend on the fitness of RVP and Fabregas.

Definitely agree with that. Will be interesting to see if Wenger gambles on Fabregas for the second leg against Barca and risks losing him for the games against West Brom, Blackburn and Blackpool. Tough call to make, as you should be able to beat all three of them without Fabregas, but then you should have beaten Sunderland without him as well...

We WOULD have beaten Sunderland without Fabregas, but for some terrible officiating. It will be interesting to see whether Fab plays against Barca. My hunch is that he will play, Cesc is desperate to help Arsenal progress especially as he missed out last time. I think he will start on the bench though.
