SECOND TEST With reference to yours of the previous, Mr Chips: Australia will bat on for three days to a score of several hundred , then England will (try to) dig in for an exciting draw. Reply to you, Mr Stevo, Sadly, I have to agree that the Aussies will win the series, but not because they are stronger but because England will lose heart and revert to their un-committed ways and let the cons out run, out bowl and out field them. Serious and sustained commitment in the field is NOT what England are noted for.
There's nothing in the pitch so it's all about our 1st innings because the only pressure will be scoreboard pressure.
"Aussies destroy England top order"...........top order? What top order was that? I didn't see one. I was wrong. Australia didn't have to bat for three days to make a score. But lets be positive for a moment, at least we will get to see England bat twice in this test, once after the other. Draw, you say, Chips? Lets hope for rain, its the only way.
Only one result and that's an away win with no chance of rain, good forecast for the last two days and this is a done deal. The ball will start to move all over the place of course when they bowl again which is typical of the team that's in such a strong position. I was reserving judgement on the convicts till the second test and how right I was.
Let'us not forget that you had also written the Lions off long before the end of the season. Negativity is your middle name!
Heard on Australian TV a few minutes ago......."Lyth doesn't like the new ball". He's opening for England, what the f**k does he expect?

Why did England lose the second test? Because they had poor Balance. Now, poor Balance has been dropped. Why only him? With the exception of one innings by Joe Root, the whole bloody lot failed miserably. Who're they going to blame in the next test?
Didn't you say this would happen when the pitch changed! The Aussie bowlers really came into their own, but I do think, seriously, that the English batting could/should have been a lot better. I still can't get over the comment about Lyth not liking the new ball. Pure gold and a definate candidate for the SBA.
The Lords pitch wasn't that much quicker than Cardiff tbf brissy but they filled their boots finding some batting form, we simply succumbed to scoreboard pressure. I expected the convicts to win once we ****ed up our first innings as there was only one result for me at that point but I never expected us to **** up our first innings.
