Convicts are over the hill and there for the taking... Too many old men, by the time they get dropped we will have wrapped the series up.
Shame and I'd loved to be proved wrong about my original prediction. Their bowlers will be more dangerous on other less docile pitches.
Fecking southern posh boy. No mind Yorkshire grit and Durham spittle will see us home with a day to spare.
I am mystic meg.... We could declare now and still win... Array on till as late as tomorrow's lunch but give it some odi humpty.
This match now depends on how many convicts we can knock over tomorrow because the Sunday weather forecast is dire with rain, rain and more rain! They will talk the talk about going for the win but teams always do when faced with a huge 4th innings target to get, the convicts will be thinking only of getting to Lords level and they will undoubtedly dig in more in their 2nd innings as teams always do when batting for survival. I'm holding fire and reserving judgment on the convicts until after Lords because Cardiff hasn't been helpful to their bowlers but Lords, Edgbaston & the Oval are all traditionally seamer friendly pitches - The Oval is our fastest track. Trent Bridge will probably provide a result as it usually does even though it's generally regarded as a flat pitch. Cardiff hasn't been good for them but it's been great for us getting us into the series and restoring some much needed confidence to some of our players as well as general proving that we can compete with the Aussies. The convicts bowlers were on fire in the Windies on their faster, bouncier tracks as I watched that 2 match series to check out their form, which is why I'm keeping an open mind because I expect them to get better as they're No.2 in the world for as reason!! Windies surrendered without a whimper but I always expected us to put up more of a fight as it's the ashes after all. I'm not convinced yet that they're over the hill because their bowling attack is world class and will be more effective on more seamer friendly tracks. Atm the convicts are overrated and if all the pitches are going to be like Cardiff then they might as well give us the urn now but they wont be! Watch this space as far as I'm concerned.
5-106!! I don't know whats got into them. I can get up in the morning and hold my head up...........well, with a bit of help from asprin. Off to beddybyes.
If we don't win the series against the ageing convicts I will nominate myself... It's just a case of how easily. I said 3-1 originally but it could be more.
I'm sticking to what I said regardless till Lords, convicts are a fiercely passionate and competitive lot and won't go down without a fight so Lords is make or break for me.
I said we'd lose 7-0. Looks like it may have to be 6-1. You don't have to nominate yourself, Chips, it already taken as read, mate.
They expect to steal them and as much stock as they can lift out of the shops on kings road and Knightsbridge as usual.
'course they do! The arrogant bastards think its their ashes by devine right. They just can't get it into their heads that its ours and we loan them to Oz every couple of years to keep the interest alive.
