Sorry Queens re Adel but in him we had a real QPR number 10 ... Just his presence in the past was enough to get the crowd going ... Still think that is a factor and know that if he were in this team now he would sparkle I live in hope
Thanks Judo Always good reading. I was a little disappointed after the last two performance and was hoping we would kick on but it wasn't as good, though we never really looked in trouble. Again need to covert some good possession to more positive conclusions however 3 pts can't be complain, one or 2 shrewd buys at Jan or a fit fully fit squad, will see us going up as long as we keep this form up until then.
Agree we aren't finishing gilt edge chances Saturday was no different with 21shots NK should of buried one first half and O Neil two ... There keeper made two good saves from Austin and Phillips and SWP was unlucky Those should or could of have gone in Then this thread would be a lot different as our patient approach play was first class IMO
Why not Chevaton then Judo? AJ needs more rest surely, plus while he's recovering he can't pick up any new injuries.
The Chevanton situation is a strange one. He has made only 1 sub appearance for us which surprises me as he looked quite good in that brief appearance.
Scored a few in EDS also. He looks hungry. But then again so do I. Another striker in the Jan window has to be a must, but who is on our radar?
Judo. Our resident sports journalist. So precise, he can discern between a 7 and an 8 and give a 7.5. Precision reporting! One could say, a black belt reporter.....
He's either injured on has left because he wasnt in the EDS squad either. I don't blame him for throwing a strop seeing how blunt our attack is and still not getting a game.
We have a good side which picks itself and Harold builds sides and then gets a solid base ... He doesn't swap too many sides about which I like You dont just put players in because you have them Onunha will have trouble getting back into the side and after him we have Gooch The team unit is all important and standards and systems have to be maintained ... It all gets built upon IMO The way it should be IMO Traore Jenas etc all would walk into any side in this division and half of the premier league We are rich in talent so just picking a name like Chevanton that no one on here knows nothing really about is daft Spurs are the same now as that AVB is a clueless man .. Loads of talent possibly the best squad in the top tier but no team We had the same under Hughes This is all about goals and making the fickle happy we are playing very good football and growing as a team Top of the league and in a great position with a settled side IMO only a fool would change that This is not a video game
Your best post for a long time DT...Welcome back mate PS..not even a mention of the "man that shall remain nameless"..I am seriously impressed !
O'Neil should have buried that follow up to Austin's (I thinks) initial strike - it was a really good chance. The stats summed it up - we did all the creating really but the lack of a 2nd goal always meant that Charlton could nick something. As far as I'm concerned, as performances go - this was good 'turgid'!
i was there and I'm afraid I don't agree. SWP hit the bar and we had a couple other instances where we really should have scored. O'neils pathetic strike in the opening few minutes should have been buried IMO. And either him or Austin blazed over near the end when they really should have done better. Just getting into enough positions to test the keeper is a mark of dominance - we did that and they, quite simply, did not.
To dominate you have to at least make the keeper work, neither team did that. id agree if their keeper made 5 or 6 quality saves but look at the highlights, he didnt make one save that you wouldnt expect a pub goalie to make. We couldnt even look threatening against the worst team Ive seen all season. To take it further, you think we could dominate a team without a shot on target?
Wow. Zamora - Beyond economical repair. AJ - Not fully fit & knees are made of glass. So playing the only other fit striker is foolish "Traore Jenas etc all would walk into any side in this division and half of the premier league" - Nurse, up the dosage. Always enjoy these.
Weve been so lucky on the striker front, an injury to Austin and we are mid table. It would have been sensible to play 2 up front to start and then take him off when we have a 2 goal lead.
