well, you have taken a quote from TWTD as gospel, I told you thats our version of Canary Call yet you still proclaim that side of the story to be true. So I can only presume from that that you take most things from canary call as gospel?

    am i correct?

    Eh?

I took a quote from some guy at TWTD as a genuine honest opinion about Ipswich. I pasted the link. Clear as day evidence. I said nothing about Canary Call. What are you talking about.

Please can you stop avoiding the issue and provide all the quotes that you have attributed to me. I'm sure you are being entirely honest and that they are out there but I just simply don't remember saying all these things you keep attributing to me.

    Many thanks.

I gave you them. But you were quick to change your mind earlier about the status of set plays in Ipswich's tactics, which is typical insidious behaviour from you. So you'll forgive me for not expecting you to agree with different attacking methods and how you define threats.

So, If i post something from the Pink un or canary call saying this or that you would accept this as evidence? interesting!

secondly, I asked Dave the question, not you. as for the question itself, as far as i understood it was the ratio between set piece goals and any other compartments. now being a football fan, I know you can have a set piece goal and open play goal, but i can't for the life of me know any others. whether its a head, cross, left foot or right foot doesn't come into this equation! or not in my understanding anyway.

I didn't answer because Rob had already done so! Sorry, I forgot, you never accept anything unless it agrees with your opinion!

Imagine, closing in on 200 posts about sweet fanny adams! Only a binner could post that !

Evidence for what? Evidence for an opinion, yes.

I gave you a list of different attacking methods (which was not exhaustive). Your ratio of set piece goals to goals scored is at least 5/16 (and may be closer to half if you include indirectly from set pieces). That is very high - quite possibly the highest ratio in the league, I don't know. It suggests that you "rely" on scoring set piece goals a lot (which was your original phrase that you backtracked on). It also suggests it is your main attacking threat, as I said, because as a percentage of the game a lot more of it is open play than is set piece, so when Ipswich get a set piece I think there is much more of a potential they will score than if they have the ball in open play.

This is not a criticism. As has been highlighted, I would be delighted if Norwich scored more from set pieces. It makes other teams nervous and puts them under pressure. I can honestly say I did not mean it as a criticism <ok>. It was only meant as another example.

Do you do anything other than WUM JWM? Sometimes I wonder, knowing your spelling, if that's what you were trying to achieve with your acronym

Nottingham Forest scored 2 Set piece goals against us.

Does it make them a long ball team as well?

How many times do I have to repeat? One swallow does not a summer make. There is always the exception that proves the rule.

You really are dense aren't you JWUM?

In any event, judging by Forest fans' comments after the match, that was a major concern of theirs - clearly they are not happy about style.

Nope, it's just it's around your level. Quite good for you actually. Probably went a little over your head, but I can explain if you like?

But still incapable of a coherent, relevant or intelligent response?

I ask again, do you ever consider posting on here might be a little easier if you just resisted the urge to constantly WUM? You're simply not smart or witty enough for it to make you look like anything other a fool.

The irony is, the 4% of your posts where you aren't wumming, you occasionally come up with something interesting or almost amusing. Just when you're not meaning to.

You never fail to disappoint with the huge number of bites!

Time to throw you back as I'm getting a bit bored now but thanks for providing the entertainment this afternoon.

Well I'm glad I make you happy. Just remember the next time you go crying because you bizarrely believe out of nowhere that I wished your son dead and other occasions where you scream and throw your toys out of the pram, that there will be little sympathy for your position. Always the victim.

But, just to clarify, as I called it earlier and it's always satisfying when I'm right - you really only posted here to get a rise then? So we can assume that otherwise you entirely agree with me? Cos that's nice to know too.

I'm surprised you're on here Gandy, I thought this thread would be far too banal for the likes of you!

Just thought I would do a few rounds with Rob but then I realised just how anal he can be!

Stay classy JWM. You've made this bed because, as you say, you enjoy getting the bites. You can't then complain when you don't like the bites you get.

And, as much as I know you find it deeply inconvenient, let it go on record that I was trying to be complimentary to Ipswich earlier in the thread on repeated occasions. And it got thrown back in my face.

You see I was right... You are so anal.

Well, you still owe the Recorder several of my quotes that I'm sure you didn't make up, but for some reason nobody can recall me actually saying them. Please could you focus on that so we can properly close this case?

It all looks a little untidy in our judgment.
