    Man utd were lucky.

Couldn't be further from the truth.

The better team won. Without breaking a sweat and with two wingers as full backs plus a midfielder in defence.

That's true. If you don't hit the target, or don't shoot at all, how's he supposed to impress?

  4. Although you are taking the piss, that is exactly right. Just like a striker finding the top corner with power wouldn't give a keeper a chance either.

De Gea was MOTM yesterday but not one of the shots he saved were heading towards and our the corners of the goal, they were all central.

And I never should the result was lucky either, the best team on the day did win, doesn't mean they didn't get lucky!

  5. You don't half talk some bull **** at times UIR lol

De Gea is a very good keeper. Neuer is the best in the world right now. Schmeical was probably the best of all time. However, if the striker puts the ball in the right place none of them save it!

If that's not the case then why are you not questioning De Gea? Afterall, he must be letting goals in when you conceded :)

His save from Balotelli wasnt right at him. Most keepers would have been stunned that balotelli ever got the shot away but not de gea.

De Gea is great at the moment, probably the 3rd best goalkeeper in the world. Fair play to him, he deserves credit for turning his Man Utd career around.

Again, so many of you are missing the point. Which of you mythical strikers were going to do that?

You cant claim if so and so was.... Or if we had that guy...

    Because its irrelevant.

We can only work with what we know. And we know tgat there was no way you were scoring at all yesterday with what you had at your disposal.

In response to any further claims that if so and so or that guy were playing, remember who we had missing. Vastly superior players.

4th then, you forgot about Brad Jones (when he dives the right way)...

You don't even realise the point you're attempting make is out of Man Utds hands and therefore comes down to good fortune for you guys <doh>

Out doesn't matter what strikers we did or didn't have as that's not the point of discussion. The discussion is about luck, De Gea was able to get to all the clear cut chances because our finishing was ****!

That's sit on our part but lucky on yours since you had no influence on the striker in question. I'll repeat, if the striker finds the corner, De Gea doesn't save. Simple.

    Also, talking about luck...offside?

I don't get this argument. Does it mean Neuer is just lucky that he faces poor strikers?

    #113
  14. Lol no. I've already said De Gea deservedly got MOTM because he has a great game. I said our strikers have him the chance to have that great game though.

UIR got in a strop about it so I carried it on :)

Well.... Thats a whole different argument.

He plays for the side with the best strikers in his league by miles and miles and miles.

He certainly doesn't face top class strikers during any time in the German league. Certainly no agueros, costas, falcaos, rooneys or sterlings.

Oh and he has an actual defence. De gea is a defence.

I wonder how other keepera would do in de geas position. We will never know.

  17. Run out of argument? Gotcha ;)

Nicely avoided the offside point too I see <whistle>

  18. Interesting point. If we'd swapped keepers for yesterday's game, who wins?
