Is that the one that has a capacity of 3? It always looked like a place I'd like but I've never bothered going in?

It goes great with Sanatogen, too. TBF, I would probably have argued similarly to you when I was 14. Hopefully, you'll grow out of it.

At 27 years old, if I'm drinking Boddingtons by the time I'm your age I'll be very disappointed.

I used to drink Boddies when I was in my twenties, in and around St Helens. Fine hand drawn pint. Not too strong so you could manage a few pints of it.
My Dad introduced me to Stones and later on Worthington Creamflow, I used to have to drink some right ****e down here. To be honest, I enjoy Worthies. But find it a little neutral taste bid wise.

I am not a massive real ale buff believe it or not. To be honest I would rather have a cheap and nasty new fangled Boddingtons sat with my mates, than a real ale sat watching Strictly with the missus. If its on, I like Ringwood (any of their drafts are good) and even Speckled Hen. The one pint I hate is Doombar. Flat as ****.

Nowt wrong with your view though.

Why do you associate real ale with Strictly??

I think the taste of Boddies has changed over the last few years to the extent that I wouldn't consider trying it again. I like a Creamflow. Trouble with beers is the quality & taste can vary so much between pubs. Once you find a decent boozer you should stick with it, until it changes hands & becomes ****.

Have you tried a pint of mixed? Boddies & Guiness?

I never drink Boddies, Ben. Not since Strangeways.

The best thing I can remember about Boddies in the recentish past, is that fit lass on the boat on the canal.

    Edit:

Had my own pub for a spell and got my boy and lots of the regulars on mixed - start with a pint of handpull Bombardiers, couple of pints in get a bottle of Leffe Blonde, just repeat and let battle commence - ****ing immense, brought my boy up right! I wish he could remember. <laugh>

It looks tiny, but it goes back much further than you expect and opens up a bit too. Well worth a go
