He's not that good. Man C didn't fancy him, only a year with us, Saints send him out on loan, not a nailed on starter for Stoke. OK, tongue in cheek post, but has he pushed on from his (second) time with us? I would argue possibly not.
He was playing for Saints when they got done 8-0 & that probably destroyed his confidence but he's a good keeper I would have him back
Upload the video of Gary O'Neill getting sent off there a few seasons back...and then tell them Emi is ten times worse, they'll come flocking to join in!!
Sounds like Farke basically has a full squad to choose from, only Stiepermann and Hugill aren't in team training, but should be from Monday. All players CoVid negative. Dowell and Onel fit enough to start if that's what Farke wants.
If we don’t get promoted, I can’t see our ‘stars’ staying if the big guns come in with large transfer fees. Interesting months ahead
The possibility of a connection in Stoke's case wasn't lost on me either Zog! Stoke used to be "Stanley Matthew's club", but Michael O'Neill is in the tradition of more recent managers and players (no names) as far as I can see.
Think that's our strongest starting lineup at the moment with Stieperman still coming back from injury. Pleased to see Kenny back, but Rupp has done well in his absence. Stoke will be physical and will doubtless try to stir up Emi. Handley knows Fletcher well, so hopefully he and Gibson can handle the physical pressure. Also pleased to see Giannoulis starting again though Sorenson has done well too. Feeling hopeful for this one.
Farke said at the presser that Sorensen is a midfield option from now on, emergency LB only. Feels a bit harsh on the lad that he's probably going to spend the rest of the season restricted to bench appearances, but hopefully better for his long term development. At least he's shown the squad and his manager what he's about. Happy with the lineup, hopefully we can get a result today!
