Seems to me that we are mostly playing 5-2-3 with Dykes on the left, Chair in the middle and BOS on the right. Warbles is certainly not being as predictable as usual.
Good half where we could have scored if we were more decisive in the final third.
    Norwich, top of the league?

Decent half, finished strongly. Need to start the second half with similar determination rather than our usual trick of conceding early. Well done lads!

Hendrie on Gillette reckons we're well worth the point.

I may watch a film for the next hour or so and hope we don't do our usual 2nd half collapse.

This just highlights to me even more so that Warburton just really doesnt know how to play his best team.

Wow. At least Warburton has tried something different. Fair play.

That's what I said, but Chair is more often in the middle than BOS is.

Watched a you tube clip the other day of our game against the SW6 lot from 73/74 and there was dear old Dave Thomas taking corners from the left with his right foot and from the right with his left foot, putting them all into the 6 yard box inviting the headers. This was with the old style ball which was far heavier than the beach balls they use nowadays. He didn't do any poncy stuttering run up, just a few steps and a perfectly flighted ball straight over the first defender intothe danger zone. If it was so easy for DT to do that nearly 50 years ago why can't modern players take a corner without hitting the first defender.

Somebody should show Illias that video.......

Maybe, but he's always accused of not changing things. At least he has tonight. Quite brave playing 5-2-3.

Don't think we had a shot on target 1st half. Now they have a keeper making his debut on now, we better Improve on that.

Or at least if we get a corner stick 4 players on the line and put the ball right under the crossbar.......

Bit naive to think we could do that on purpose.

Another dramatic penalty appeal. No sound from our side at all.

Hanley misses a very good chance. All a bit too nice from us.
