Where are the chances to score coming from? Two up front but no creativity or pace supporting them. I fear this will be another long afternoon.

Have you not been one of the seminal proponents for Hughton playing 4-4-2 and often complained that Hughton should start our 2 best players, is negative for only playing one striker and other words to that effect.

Yet now you are saying that if he picks two strikers, at home he is a 'dumbass' despite it is what you were so longing for him to do.

My first point is that he doesn't fail to get the ball to them; he is not on the pitch. The midfield doesn't get the ball to them, if you have 2 strikers on the pitch you have 1 less midfielder which makes possession more difficult. There's a reason that top teams like Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund play one striker and 5 midfielders.

My second point is that you either criticise everything Hughton does for no good reason and he can never win you over because you continually move the goalposts.

Or.

Since he is a 'dumbass' and he is following your earlier advice you must be a 'dumbass' too.

Which one would you care to admit to?

Really hoping for 3 points today and a great game, OTBC!!!! COYY!!!!!

I'm afraid you must have me confused with another, what tiny modicum of decent football we have played this season, was with a 5 man midfield. Whilst I can understand trying 2 up top at home if hull pack the midfield we will again be swamped and not get enough Good possession up the pitch. With our ball retention I have to say I believe we really shouldn't play two up top. It is one thing I have agreed with Robbie on that 451 need not be defensive, it is under Hughton, but in reality it is in my opinion what suits our squad best and I also thought it was hughton's preference for us too!

Bah!

Last time we beat Hull was 2007, last time we beat them at home was 2005...<yikes>

Unbelievably Sunderland have come back from 0-2 down and look like they may well get a winner, bad news for us :emoticon-0106-cryin

I will not say other teams fight back, why can't we?

Snodgrass will spend the entire game diving and arguing with his team mates again, how he starts every game is beyond me.

Oh God, we're squabbling already, and the match hasn't even started!

Anyone on a mobile and at Carrow Road? What's the atmosphere like? (Genuine question - not a sarky comment, just in case anyone thinks it is.)

He keeps the ball marginally better than Redmond, and he's still the best set-piece taker we've got. I would like to see Redmond on the right at some point in the afternoon, trying to deliver crosses for our two strikers. If we had Pilks on too then there'd be three targets for him to aim for.

Sunderland drew, so it's very unlikely we'll end up in the bottom three tonight.

It's up to us to win games, though - not depend on others not winning.

I can't help thinking today will be a very similar atmosphere to that of the infamous Worthy Burnley game, where the crowd was just waiting for it to go tits up.

I don't think things are that bad yet, unless anyone at the ground has seen banner's and protests outside the ground before the game?

Up to now, it has not been as bad, I agree but it seems that the tide is turning much quicker this time. Worthy's downfall was a long slow process, what is going on now, is more of a reaction from a bigger majority, to what has happened in the last month or so.

I feel strangely optimistic too. 3- 0. I hope I'm not setting myself up for ridicule. I really really really really want a win.
