I wouldn’t say I was happy - there was a lot of frustration particularly going forward and some nervy moments defensively. I feel like had we had more confidence we would have taken three points as we had better players man for man. But the bottom line is Burnley are an established premier league club and we ground out a point away from home in nasty weather, and with serious risk to shins and ankles. That’s progress, and something to build on, especially going into the international break.
You said it perfectly, Rob. You make a very good point about playing Burnley away. Defence aside, my frustration stemmed from our poor passing. Several times it looked like we just passed forward and hoped one of our players would get to the ball first. And there were too many long balls for my liking.
