Top 6 with 17 points. So, what has happened to this side over the past few weeks? I was one who was thinking DF is not making any progress with the squad after 4 wins in 24 matches.

Three points! Vrancic came in and calmed things down a bit.

Ref was really poor; Wigan fans will be fuming and I can't blame them. But then, they didn't have a single shot on goal.

Actually Emi had a good all round game in spite of the missed passes. He won a lot of balls back and supported his fullback well. Good substitutions on 62 minutes and another going to two strikers with 15 minutes. A gritty 1-0 win, 5th in a row, and we're now in clear 5th place! OTBC!

I agree with you about the rest of his game. His defence and work to get the ball back is excellent. He works hard, but he needs to stop giving the ball away.

Krul had the easiest afternoon since we signed him. Can Hanley get back in the side when fit? Three clean sheets in four since his injury. Got to keep this defence for a while now I would say. Lot of fouls by Wigan did not help the flow of the game.

Five games played, including cup, five games won, since I have been back in UK. Derby match is my last before returning to the Philippines, so I am hoping for a clean sweep plus two of my mates in Philippines support Derby.
I have been to the Derby Middlesbo and today , I also have tickets for Stoke next week if I want.

Last time I saw us lose was Arsenal away .

100% win rate on my mdts too .

Not that I'm superstitious or anything.

Not a good game by any stretch, but IMO the apology for a ref spoilt early in the first half.
Lot's of misplaced passes by both sides, buy we've now beaten 3 teams above us in the league and even Look Pee Aargh were on a decent run prior to our trip to West London.
We need to keep the run going on Wednesday and keep moving up the league and I can imagine DF and his players must be brimming with confidence.

It was a funny game Stieperman was good and the few chances Pukki had were him running down the flanks trying to square it to Stieperman.

We didn't look dangerous or vulnerable, I thought it would end in a 0-0 then the excitable little **** awarded us a penalty .

Perhaps the "You don't know what you're doing " chants worked ?

Max did nothing wrong but the early subs before the hour mark certainly helped.
