The overlap is important to our style but at least Montero stays to the outside most times. Ayew is a different story , the overlap is even more important for him cause he cuts more times than not. Starting to see what PGF is saying about its throwing off or game on the right. If we can't adjust to his movement , time to make some money in January and get another "Dart "winger on the right side .Ayew is an awesome player, hope we can adjust something to keep him .
If Monk is still here for the next game he must play Eder or Ayew up front and get some width on the right.
The worry here is that plenty on here have been calling out for this for weeks yet Monk hasn't realised it.
Lets hope Man City beat Villa today to keep them in the bottom three. It's sad, but it's come to that now.
Britton doesn't play all season , fine.Bringing Britton on as a sub , fine.Bringing Britton as a sub when we are winning to shore up our defence , fine .Bringing Britton on as a sub when we are losing is just total mismanagement
MOTD was interesting. If you'd only seen that you'd think Norwich had had 90% possession as the only highlights they could show of the Swans was Siggy's effort and Gomis falling over in a slight breeze. What's even more embarrassing was Monk spouting his usual nonsense afterwards.... Like - "We had the right game plan but we just didn't execute it." And - "One lapse of concentration has cost us the game and that's frustrating," added Monk What's cost us the game is having no clue how to create a single chance on target. Oh, and no game plan.
Just one more pointer to show he appears to have lost the plot , a creative player off for defensive midfielder when we're a goal down .It just doesn't make sense
Ashley Williams's post game interview is definitely worth a view . If you read between the lines , imo , he is clearly having a go at Gomis and Ayew mostly , but at anyone responsible for creativity in the final third .Seemed pretty nervous and agitated .
Way I see it, we are likely to beat Bournemouth with or without Monk. So if we were to replace Monk right away, we would be giving a new manager a couple weeks to get clued in, then a much needed confidence boost to him, the team and the fans with a first win in his first game. That could set us up quite well over the Christmas period and the rest of the season. Something I think the board could well be considering.
You got a link Roof? Haven't seen it. But I agree. It is Gomis up front and Ayew giving us that imbalance on the wing. He's a number 10.
I like when he talks about them having "One chance " all game and they scored on it .He forgot to add WE never had a shot on goal..
