We face Wednesday on Wednesday!

Following a goalless draw with Preston North End on Saturday, Norwich City welcome Sheffield Wednesday - KO 7.45pm. David Wagner confirmed there are no new injury concerns, so the knock that Gianoulis took shouldn't see him miss this one. DW also confirmed that Sainz is improving week by week and a start for him is only around the corner.

With 10 points from the last 15 available, City are now 13th in the table, three points off the play-off spots.

Despite controlling the majority of possession, and creating the stronger chances, the Canaries were unable to break down Preston North End on Saturday afternoon.

The Opposition

After pulling together seven points in their last three games, the Owls have now lifted themselves off the foot of the Championship table thanks to a superior goal difference to Rotherham United.
They enjoyed a 1-0 win over Stoke at the bet365 Stadium on Saturday with Anthony Musaba clinching a 91st-minute winner.

One to Watch
Will Vaulks

Wales international Will Vaulks joined Sheffield Wednesday in 2022 where he has now made almost 70 appearances. He has been key to Wednesday's recent turnaround in form, putting in strong performances in the wins against Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City, as well as the draw against league leaders Leicester City. He has also previously played for Tranmere Rovers, Falkirk, Rotherham United and Cardiff City.

Head coach
Danny Röhl

Having previously held roles at clubs such as RB Leipzig, Southampton, 33-time Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich and as assistant manager for the German national side, Danny Röhl joined the Owls in mid-October. He has worked with both Ralph Hasenhüttl and Hansi Flick, while this is his first head coaching position.

Positive vibes!!!

ON THE BALL CITY!!!

NEVER MIND THE DANGER!!!

Not sure this is going to be as straightforward as it potentially looks considering Sheffield Weds league position. They're unbeaten in 3 (wins against Blackburn and Stoke and a draw with Leicester) so its not a given by any stretch. Although we had lots of possession Saturday against Preston, the lack of ability to break quickly and with a sense of urgency was concerning in my humble opinion! We allowed Preston time to get back too easily and get everyone in a strong defensive position. There were times when I felt a quick break and getting the ball in the box would've caused more problems for them but instead we seemed happy to progress forward on the wing and then play it backwards 20 yards or so. There was a lot of frustration around me at the game, particularly 2nd half. I feared a smash and grab from Preston and it nearly happened.
Anyway, here again tonight and hoping my score prediction is wrong!!
Enjoy the game everyone whether in person or otherwise.
