Exactly. The manager takes responsibility, of course, but the players aren't doing it and 2 of them were utterly brain-dead yesterday (or have hidden agendas). There appears to be a group of "supporters" who seem to want to lay everything at the door of the board and manager and seem to think we should spend our way out of trouble (a la Pompey) or just buy any old players (Townsend? £18 mill? You're having a laugh).
We have the squad, we have the players, we have a strategy - we need more consistency from the squad and we need a couple of extra players. As supporters we shouldn't be pressing the destruct button, we should be supporting, ffs!

We played a decent match yesterday. The result was determined by a moment of stupidity by Wanyama. It's not as if we were battered, we played slightly better than Norwich but in the end the result didn't go our way. I don't there's too much to worry about. We're definitely not nearly as good as last season, but we're also not relegation bad. There are some issues we need to sort. Personally, I'm worried that Koeman is having problems determining which is our best lineup and formation. I also dislike his complete distrust in Harry Reed, really don't know what the lad did wrong.

Senior directors on more than £50k a week? I'd be surprised - can anyone look at last year's accounts and see who are the clubs highest earners? It'll be there!

Why do you say at the risk of taking flak? It's a sensible post. I agree with a lot of it and not so sure about some of it.

Nothing wrong with making a reasonable post with your opinion, especially as you add down explanation and supposition too.

I'm not sure about "again" next to stating down the barrel of relegation though, as it's been a few years since we've done that.

It is clear that we won't go mad with salaries and fees. Personally, I have no issue with that as I don't ever want us staring down the barrel of a different gun again, as we were in 2009.

To me its just good sense. Don't pay more than you can afford either in wages or transfer fees. Leicester and Chelsea in opposing ways are showing us that football is about a lot more than that. We showed it ourselves for a couple of years. I would hate to be a 'spend spend spend' club.

I was not advocating becoming a spend, spend, spend at any cost club but will Vardy be at Leicester next season unless his pay increases?

Maybe not but what is your point? Thats just how it is unfortunately. Unless Leicester want to spend mor than they can really afford they just have to accept it.

I'm sure we'd all like that situation to change but there would need to be a seismic shift in the way football is run for that to happen.

Yes, a good post. No opinion expressed as fact and hence the reasonable replies. I don't agree with you on all of it, in particular I don't imagine that the directors earn more than Cortese! Also, we could perhaps match wages with Everton, but not Man U or probably Liverpool or Spuds.

Wasn't Cortese the highest paid Chairperson in the Premier League?
