just to add to that - i think the rule is you have to offer 3,000 away fans OR 10% capacity initially <ok>
you can offer more if you wish

Yeah thought it was a percentage like that? It's strange that they didn't option the remainder when the first tranche sold out before most members got a chance of a ticket, never mind general sale.

Was really looking forward to this one, missed last years game.

I am not even sure if away teams actually get the option to take more tickets.
I believe Newcastle didn't want to take the full 2700 either and have taken (apparently) 1800

No I can't. It's that or nothing (here at any rate). Given those options it's a no brainer really <ok>

It's got to do with giving financial guarantees you'll sell them all.

I appreciate that that is the reason but in all honesty I would (and I am sure you would also) expect QPR who have been out of the top flight for all these years and only being 2 hours or so down the road would be confident of selling 2500+. Let's face it, there is a new generation of QPR fans who will be trying to get to 'new' grounds this season, many are going to miss out now.

Northolt, out of interest, what sort of away following have you been taking so far this season? and if it is over 2500 for each and every game how could the smaller allocation be explained?

They obviously thought it would be touch and go whether they sold them all,
and didn't want to end up out of pocket. Ellers is the expert on away support, he'll be along in a minute!

our tickets are ridiculously over priced - that might have something to do with clubs taking smaller allocations. anything between £35 and £55 <yikes>

Oooh i'm looking forward to this one,my wife's stepdad is Norwich mad and i'm going with him.Gonna be in the home end for this one,and i've ensured him i won't have full hoops regalia on or start any unneccessary chanting.Off course should things get a little nervy late on i might just have to unleash the mighty hooped shirt!By the way Northy just for this thread can you drop the second syllable from your name,it keeps making me feel uneasy looking up and seeing HOLT staring back at me!

Maybe not 2700, but at least 2000 I would have thought. Norwich was one of the few away fixtures my dad took me to when I was younger, and I'm sure its the same now as it's still a family club and a pleasant enough market town (as opposed to say Cardiff or Portsmouth).

I suspect it could be that we played you last year, and they thought people are saving for newer venues like Liverpool and Stoke - but we have fewer games this year, so it doesn't really add up for me.

I am now off to Newbury for the Hennessey Gold Cup instead, so anything I save will probably be wasted anyway...

We bought 3 at £33 each so pretty cheap compared to most prem clubs. Could be something to do with the fact that QPR and Norwich have played each other more times than they have played any other clubs in the league (Well at least this is true for QPR I think) so realistically people could be saving money for other away trips as this one has prob been done by a lot of people already and compared to a lot of other away games isn’t that glamorous no offense to Norwich. But it’s the same vice versa, you’re fans would much rather go to Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham away if coming to London, our fans would much rather go to to games like Man u, Liverpool etc if leaving London as these are the grounds we haven’t been to in years. My fingers now ache from typing too much

By the sounds of it the club only requested 1,400 tickets which is a huge shame as I'm sure we would have sold 2500 easily.

In fact, I couldn't get tickets which I'm gutted about as we bought (non refundable) train tickets in advance. So, if anyone has a 2 spare in the QPR end, please do let me know.

That awkward moment when #Norwich fans realise our goalkeeper @13Szczesny13 is a more skillful outfield player than any of their team.

There is no 10% rule...That would mean Manc u giving 7000 , Arsenal 6000, etc...etc...
We sold our away allocation for Liverpool in a few days (3024), so why we only requested half of the available Norwich allocation is stupid.
Would of sold them for sure...
