Good to see some chances are starting to come, keep em coming and one will eventually find it's way in to the net
If that goal line incident had involved United, Chelsea, Arsenal etc. it would start again a huge debate about goal line technology but because its Norwich no one will notice. I don't think it crossed the line anyway.
Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear oh dear oh dear <shakesheadindisbeliefbecausenorwicharedireonceagainemoticon>
Worthy on five live mentioned goal-line technology, let's hope that doesn't cost us later. Half-time probably didn't come at the best of times for us, we were starting to look a bit better towards the end of the half. But, Surman has been very poor, Howson not much better. Jackson is doing all the running up front too, Kane's not offering a lot. There's players on the bench though, so I'd like changes by the hour mark if we can't make the breakthrough. MK Dons 2-0 QPR!!!
As poor as we have been, and have have been very poor I don't think Luton have had a shot on target. Still confident. If we get desperate we could always make a double sub of Holt and Wes, that would do the trick
Just a bit more quality and we can break their "magic of the cup" bullshit. Little teams love having a plucky go. Knacker them out then strike.
1st half looked like the Catch-22 of the cup early rounds. Want to play some "fringe" members of the squad and rest a couple of regulars. But you then end up with a team not used to playing together, plus a few individuals a little off the pace match-wise. Looking better at end of the half. Hope for more improvement after the break.
Luton look very comfortable. We need to press more before they start getting thoughts about about winning. If they scored, I really would be fearing the worst. Our confidence seems so low at the moment that they would probably go to pieces. Not a pleasant thought.
Good point about wearing them out. The way they're defending is clearly going to take it out of them as the second half goes on, so space will open up for Fox (and others) to exploit. Bennett perhaps playing wider than I expected, it'd be nice to see him more centrally occasionally in the second half.
Exactly what was going through my mind, almost to the word. Surman looks out of his depth today, Howson may as well go off and give someone else a chance and Kane still needs to do something to make me think he is any good, so far I just don't see it.
Still no incisive passing forward for a pacy young duo to run onto. Too many passes sideways or back ...and then the long punt forward again. Holt for Kane and play Jackson where Surman is currently a waste space.
Why have we not injected pace and power into the game. We will not wear Luton out if we pass it about among our back four 60 yards from their goal which just allows them to drop back into their half. Our midfield is dreadful. Fox is treating it like a training match. Dare yourself to get forward mate instead of looking for the easy option 50 yards from goal. In fact the whole team have to show some bottle.
