His 1v1 defending is atrocious now, passing forward is a challenge without multiple touches, and most crosses are hit and hope rather than picking anyone out. There's also a lot to be said about on the field leadership, he never seems to say a peep, particularly after we concede when I'd want my captain motivating the team.
Hughes is still inexperienced at this level and has a mistake a game in him. Yeah he has ability and leadership qualities but he's still a bit naive. Coyle is captain on merit. Incoming managers might not change skipper straight away, but 6 managers over 5 years? Come off it.
