    Spot on

Tim just seems a waste of time

We will never get promoted under him

We will win games but lose many

    I thought acun wants promotion?

At least today won’t look embarrassing after we play a team that’s seriously challenging for the top, such as Sunderland.

You were 'hopefully' going last Saturday, I ended up drinking the pint of John Smiths that was awaiting you myself, TWAT. :emoticon-0138-think

I thought we played well going forward and we have some talent in the squad. Trouble is we are wide open at the back and it's all a bit shambolic. Walters style, Walterball, call it what you like is all very well in principle but he simply cannot play that sort of gung-ho football against every side in the Championship because like today, against the better sides, we will get ripped to shreads.
He has the players, about that there is no doubt, but he has to use them better and tighten up at the back, then hit sides on the break.
It's all a bit naive for me, heart attack football? it certainly is, maybe ok on the park in a Sunday morning kick about, but we have to get a bit more streetwise then we were this afternoon or we are going to get a lot more results like this.

Not as many as leave the MKM. Especially the East Stand. Brentford and Forest all stay on, as do others.

Well I enjoyed that. Walter’s style is really exciting, lots of goals, chances either end. On another day we’d have won that 6-4.

How does it spill over though? We have different players and a different manager.

Hard to think what to make of that. Second half I was pleased with what I saw, though we cannot walk the ball in. Pedros goal looked ok to me. The overriding thing I think is, that our back 4 have ZERO pace and a winger and strikers have pace, so there is always a mis match. Thats what happened today, people who cant stay onside and still have pace to beat our defenders. TW will say he was pleased we kept going. I cannot understand Slater being left on and Zambrano being taken off. On the + side, Kamara looked good.

That can't be right, everyone keeps saying how much better Tim's style is.

Hughes had a shocker debut but it was the wrong game for him to made his first appearance. We were still sort of in the game at 2-0 down despite looking like we’d concede more. That Hughes mistake unfortunately killed any hope of getting back into it.

Lots of poor individual performances today but the way we set up defensively needs to change. We actually look better going forward compared to last season. We create chances ourselves (finishing and final touch today was **** though). The defence is all over the place though.

We look conceding every time the opponent counter-attacks. This was also the case during Walter’s first season at Hamburg. I think they conceded the most goals from counter-attacks in Bundesliga 2 in his first season despite finishing 3rd. He actually did shore up the defence in his second and third seasons at Hamburg though (the fans said this was at the expense of the style of play losing some of its ‘magic’). He needs to do it here now. With this style of play, we need to walk before we can run. Get the basics right and tighten up the defence whilst still implementing the principles in possession.

Going forward we are clearly a threat it’s very fast paced fluid should’ve had a couple today but if we aren’t clinical like we have been in the last 3 we are in trouble. Zambrano needs a partner deeper to help him out, full backs are too narrow on transition. Coyle has been excellent so far but his positioning was exposed today and Drameh was terrible

I said earlier, if you play the high press with 6/6 after the ball, you better win it....

Nice cameos from Alzate and Kamara in the second half at least, Pedro had some decent moments too. The squad is actually really strong and although I'm not Tim out, i'd fancy us for a play off push under a more pragmatic manager.

They're chalk and cheese. If we could combine the two we'd be unstoppable!
