The games are coming thick and fast at the moment with us seemingly playing a game twice a week since the start of the season, Saturdays game sees us welcome Coventry City to Carrow Road. Lets try to keep the run going with win number 5... Dean Smith will be looking for the team to exert a bit more control over proceedings back in our own ground, after watching his side grind out 2 away wins. Byram could be in line to make his 3rd start in 7days fresh back from an injury, which could be a risk although he has had his minutes managed so that he didn't play more than 70mins in both games. I would expect him to start at LB but wouldn't be suprised to see Mclean there. A couple of players could be at risk of dropping out of the starting 11 in my opinion after having limited effect in the past 2 matches - those players for me would be Dowell, Sinani and Ramsey, with players like Sara, Cantwell, Hernandez and Pukki waiting in the wings I wouldn't be surprised to see them miss out in favour to the latter players. Although he didn't score last game Sargent keeps his starting spot for me, as a vote of confidence. The rest of the team as well should remain unchanged I believe. Coventry are rock bottom of the league with only an opening day draw gaining them a point so far. That has been followed by losses to Bristol City, Millwall, Hull and Preston. It is also worth mentioning that they have only played 4 games so far this season due to the playing surface at the Coventry Building Society Arena being too hard and deemed a safety risk, although they did managed to play there first league game there earlier this week. Positive vibes!!! ON THE BALL CITY!!!
Excellent thread @SuffolkCanary and another 3 points hopefully. The swagger has returned and we have been the much better side in all of our home games so far . I would guess Smith will start the same 11 as Birmingham with Hernandez replacing Ramsey . Max staying until January at least is a massive plus he's been brilliant so far. I was thinking about going tomorrow but my 6 year old daughter was bored to death at the Wigan game .
I reckon you will be doing the next MD thread Suffolk. As games go, on paper, this should be a formality.
We probably said that about Derby two seasons ago! Rock bottom and they stole 3 points from Carrow Road. I don't think Coventry are as bad as their league position suggests, but equally playing the bottom side in the league at home is surely our best chance of a statement win this season. Would be great to see a good performance and a comfortable win by a two goal margin.
