Agreed. The Matic of last season would walk into the team, but this season? Nah. It's good to see a manager that'll drop under-performing players, irrespective of their names. <ok>

I didnt vouch for Matic & agree that he is out of form.
But RLC is a stepup for Mikel.

Dude learn not to bite mate. This is a man who would be hard pushed to name players in our Champions and Europa Cup final teams.

    Jose Bosingwa.

I am just sad how naive most of you all are. Just like your Jose support this season, when Jose himself decided day 1 to jump ship and dared Roman to fire him from then on.

And I'm sad at how fickle some fans can be. Turning on our 2nd longest serving player and most successful manager of all time so quickly.

RLC doesn't look like a defensive midfielder to me. In fact hasn't he been played in advanced midfield roles till now? So it's basically Matic or Mikel and Matic has been out of form.

Fickle will be, if Jose had proven me wrong.
But my point was mere common sense - rarest form of intellect ever used nowadays.

Jose wanted out and wanted fat pay check to boot as well. How to get out, screw up purposefully.
If we cannot see that obvious - we are stupid naive!

No it was fickle regardless of whether you were right or not. We'll never know whether Jose would have turned it around. I don't blame the club for making the tough call but I think fans turning on our most successful manager a mere few months after winning us a double was pretty unbelievable.

Thankfully the vast majority of the match going fans showed far more loyalty and class.

Your second paragraph is nonsense of the highest degree and you'll struggle to find a single person who agrees with such ramblings. I've seen more sense written in **** on padded cell walls....<laugh>

Tough call? That was the easiest call Roman would have ever made.

After 4 or 5 games - Jose talked about relegation - not top 4 or top half, but relegation.

It was obvious Jose wanted out. Have you seen his body language, interviews from Match 2??

If you genuinely believe Jose deliberately made us ****e so he could just get the sack then I'd think about following a different sport...<laugh>

I am hoping he meant that Jose did not want to be there because the players were turning against him.
    I hope.

Even if a manager wanted to throw a game, what could he say to the players?
He could purposefully ask them to use bad tactics I suppose, but the players would quickly twig.
And its not like he can say "Hey Eden, I want you to play like **** today, just go out there and be totally ****".

This!! I am pretty sure he didn't prepare for any matches.
    That itself is enough.

Where were you when I stated after Game 2 - Roman needs to give Alex role to Jose??
    Is that fickle?? <doh>

    am just pragmatic not fickle.

I hope you know what you're talking about because most of us don't.

What exactly is an 'Alex role'. Is it like a swiss roll?

I'm quite partial to an artic log myself.

I think Bodanki just threw you a get out of jail free card as well!! <laugh>

I think Jose went into the season with a bit of a negative attitude; probably cos City and United were spending millions and he didn't get Pogba or Stones. The negativity plus seemingly burning out some of the players led to a massive loss of form and confidence throughout. The Eva thing didn't help, nor did subbing Terry at City, Hazard's form etc.

But Jose didn't want to be sacked. Why would a man of his ego want to be sacked? Beggars belief.

Just think, all Jose had to do was start picking Mikel and everything else takes care of itself....<whistle>

Yeah I'm sure it's a fergie reference but surely he can't mean retiring him upstairs to the boardroom and for book tours?!!?

I have explained this in detail in my past posts, that Roman must treat Jose like how Arsene is and Alex was treated by their boards - give full free hand on players decisions.
That was never going to happen, so there is no way Jose is going to hang around. That was my point from Game 2.

you will only pick up Mikel or Jose out posts <doh>

    Thanks mate.
Actually I am calm & composed.

Guess no point in talking about Jose or Mikel anymore, historical & deadwood.
Rather will focus on our other 10 players & current / future managers!
