I agree that they appear to be going through the motions; the lack of urgency and ridiculous delay in passing is making it all a difficult watch. It pains me to say but I think the management are too, thinking more about next season in the Championship. I actually don't think any of the players can say they've left everything on the pitch in any of our restart games, maybe the Man Utd cup tie being an exception.

At least Idah looks promising for the new season. Emi played better today but I expect he'll not be at NCFC next season.

Towards the end Krul was pushing up really high to try push for a goal trouble was he was in danger of pushing past the CB's. For me Krul is our POTS and has probably made less errors than most of our outfield players. Everyone rants about Buendia and how many chances he creates, but he also get caught in possession lot's and often gives the ball away in dangerous areas, which is normally followed by the waving around of his hands and watching why others try to make up for his erros

Drmic is not on loan. He's on a 3 year contract to the summer of 2022.

Clearly if Drmic is in our plans for next season then I can see a point in playing him, although in all honesty I'd be happy if we sold him on.

I was responding to OCF's post

I think he was a free transfer , not sure how long his contract is but he could be decent at Championship level.

Pukki will probably leave and get one last payday and International strikers are usually quite expensive .

Duda I think is the only player whose contract ends this year, on the 31/07/20. As far as I'm concerned he can go now as I wouldn't want to keep him whatever league we're playing in next year.

McLean, Vrancic, Tettey, McGovern & Morris contracts end 30/06/21. Everyone else 30/06/22 or later. So realistically we don't have to sell anyone next season. Would probably need to geet McLean & Vrancic to sign a new or extend their existing contract if they're in our plans beyond next season.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Kenny go to Rangers or Celtic.

This group feels different to some of the others, where Maddisson was our star player and it was disappointing to see him go.

The young boys Aarons Cantwell and Godfrey perhaps even Lewis will all be worth quite alot and I wouldn't be surprised to see them all go .
Buendia will probably go too, we could easily get £100 m in player sales and Webber can bring in some new talent.

The awful performances lately and horrendous record this season shows we are way off the pace to compete at this level .

I'm looking forward to seeing some new faces come in next season .

I wonder what odds you could get for NCFC having the playing record since lockdown of played 9, lost 9 goals for 0 and goals against 25?
Not sure if Farke is learning from all these defeats or can’t change anything because of attitudes. Agree with DD that perhaps a clear out of players and a new manager next season.

I would sell him - he is not the answer. Idah, on the other hand, could be a major factor in the Championship next term.

We need to keep Farke but a number of players need replacing. Aarons, Godfrey and Cantwell will probably go (not so sure about Lewis or Bendy), Hoadiey is too injury prone and Timm’s injury appears to have affected him a lot so two new CB’s will be essential. Duda, Rupp and Drmic aren’t good enough (in my meekly humble opinion) so Duda can go back to Berlin and I’d sell Drmic and Rupp. Build next seasons team around Krul (if he stays), Zimbo (if he stays fit), Byram (if he stays fit), Argos, Vrancic, Pukki and Idah. Just my views.

Sorry DD I meant to infer that was my opinion about the manager. Where did it all go wrong after walking the Championship. Sheffield Utd have been a revelation but Norwich and Villa have been well below the standard required in PL.

I can see merit in a lot of this.

I'm not convinced we will get the sort of money the club would want for Aarons, Godfrey & Cantwell. To be fair all 3 are top championship / PL relegation standard. Most of their value is that they are English and young so likely to get better. For me Hanley is key at the back, unless we buy a new CB.

Hard to see where any more goals are going to come from, never mind points.
Pathetic, really - Sam Byram alone was never going to be the difference between a champ. team and a Prem one.
Almost as if we only really ever wanted those parachute payments - which in my view are unjust and harsh on the
other 21 clubs in the second tier.
Had they been abolished, we'd have had to invest and stand on our own two feet. <grr>

Gary unimpressed - I wonder why?

But let’s forget the performance level for a minute and look at some numbers.
*Look away now if you’re of a nervous disposition.
    • One goal in nine league games
    • Not a single corner won
    • One shot
    • Not a single shot from inside the box
    • Six shots on target in the five games since the restart
    • Five consecutive Premier League defeats without a goal
    • Two goals scored in City’s last 31 first halves
    • Not a single point earned from a losing position
    • On course for our lowest points total ever (including when it was two points for a win)
    https://norwichcity.myfootballwrite...at-the-championship-beckons-for-the-canaries/

Interesting comment below the article, too:
"Our owners must be more delusional than I give them credit for if they cannot see that now is the time for a change of ownership before the money from Aarons, Godfrey, Lewis and Cantwell is once again wasted on subsidising their ownership."

I have to agree with this.
